The patina is somewhere between natural and forced (in...

Re: SpyderCoffee

Ah gotcha. I am pretty unfamiliar with 4V, so wasn't sure how stainless it was. What made it react the most, citrus? I may just have to pick up a 4V Mule now and try it out! :) I eat a lot of grapefruit, and have had luck with them with just about any non-stainless steel...so yes citrus. So far I a...

Forced patina?
The mule is 4v and the patina is forced. It was a little more difficult to force than superblue or hap40, but I wanted to force it a bit before I put the scales on it. I have been using it primarily for food prep to let the patina develop further.

Re: Predicting the next sprint run steel(s)

Since the 4v Mules come from Taichung, I would definitely purchase a Chaparral or two in 4v. But in carbon fiber or maybe even FRN or G10, not the expensive titanium.

Re: Hap 40 Delica thread

A seller on eBay listed 10 available for sale (9 of which are still available since placing my order). It is not listed as Hap40 in the posting, just Burnt Orange, but the model # matches up.

Oh and it is a US seller with a very reasonable price and low shipping.

Is yours also getting the sandwich stripe down the spine?
Yeah, the Hap40 is exposed down the spine so there is patina formed there also.
