Another great fan of the serrated hawkbill.
Had a Tasman Salt as working knife at my former job as a flexoghraphic printer of various foils.
That curved blade in full spyderedge slided through various webbing, tie rips and pallet bands like nobodies business  :D
Highly recommended.

Just saying hi and refound edc (thanx again Paul[Deacon])
Been a while since I posted over here. On a very tight budget and not be able to buy whatever Spydie, it's no fun for me to visit all that often. Been heavily into SAKs lately because once in a while I can spend a couple of euro's on a standard SAK. But enough of the whining :( Just a few moments ag...

Don't care much about the name, as long as it will be available in full SpyderEdge as well..

Post your first (and a little story about mine)
Greetings you all :) My very first Spydie I bought back in end 2004 was a Salt1/PE. Carried it for a while untill I became obsessed with the full Spyderedge. I never carried that little Salt anymore and it became a beater knife. Hung on a little hook in the kitchen for dirty chores and even went on ...

Re: Compression Lock Up and Down Play
Had 2 PM1 's and both of them had at least a mm vertical play no matter what I tightened (got rid of them). So does my SS ATR.
The PM1 CPM S30V/SE Sal gifted me back then is rock solid.

Re: I love lock back knives!
I've collected Spyderco knives from end 2004 until about 2009 when my funds were done. I own or have owned about every fully serrated model from that era and earlier. About 90% of all lock backs all had vertical play right out of the box or developped play after medium use. Linerless FRN models, lin...

Re: Are Spyderco prices getting out of your reach?
It's no fun for me anymore to join you all like I could in the past. Wether I order from te US or here I have to pay top dollar (EURO that is LOL) for even the standard models: Eur 55,- for a standard Ladybug and close to EUR 100,- for a Delica or H1 Dragonfly. But I still love the company and the m...

Re: Pick a favorite model and a sprint you'd like to see for it.
First colab of Spyderco, the Turzuola.
Military style nested liner lock, G10 handles.
Either full Spyderedge (preferably of course) or plain edge.
Like any Spydie won't be able to buy it if it should ever came out, but a man has got to dream right?

Re: Spyderco: Ergonomic Superiority
I can only Judge the models I have untill 2010 or so and I find that the small Spydies fit my big hands the best (size 10 gloves) or the really big ones (Military Endura 2 or 3) Furthermore I think that the simple handles are egonomically the best for mediun sized knives. So not too much angles or f...

Re: Spyderco Tenacious VS Endura4
I prefer the Tenacious over the Endura because of back locks developping vertical blade play soon after mediun to hard use.
Used both when I was still working at the printer factory. Endura got play after a few days and the Tenacious stayed rock solid.
So for me it's a lock issue.

Re: Endura 4 quality?
I love the Endura 3 and I have one Generation 2 Endura that seems to be molded after my hand. However the Endura 4 never grew on me. One way or another the ergo's didn't do it for me. Had one fully serrated one at the time and despite the fact I loved the blade with the serrations almost to the very...

Re: Vacation spyderpurchase fail
There's a place near me that has horrible prices on Spydercos. They sell Dominos for $250, PM2s for $200, Karahawks for around $280, and dragonflies for $85. They had some good deals on Benchmades and ZTs. Some for less than online stores. Too bad I only wanted the Spydercos. :( Matt You should com...
