Now that is the bee's knees. I love it!
Thanks! I'm beginning to think it might be fun to invest in a good quality hobbiest size milling machine (if such an animal exists). More research to do! :D

Well Denn, based on sheer volume, ]Image[/CENTER]
Classy looking, great little cutter, and, IMHO, the ultimate "ergo choil" too.

Hi nartmot, I use Spyderco knives because my hands are mildy arthritic and I find the round hole opener is the only opening method that is consistently successful for me. I collect them because I find them more interesting than any of the other myriad things folks collect, and also because, although...

In spite of what I said earlier about "cost control", I must admit my true desire is for a "high end" Jester. This litlle fella would be welcome to hang out on my key ring anytime...

Happy Birthday Dialex!

Congrats Alex! Good heath and happiness for the year ahead! And if this reminder makes you feel the least bit "old" remember, I probably have things in my freezer older than you!

Yep Steve, saw that auction too. Perhaps more amazing than the BIN price is his "opening" bid.  Have seen a few sellers use high BINs with low openers in the hopes it will get bidding above the "average", have even seen that technique work. On the other hand...

Very nice avatar Mario, great work Dialex! Craig, I think you'll love it when you get it. For a variety of reasons, I favor something slightly smaller for EDC, but think the Manix is an excellent design and built like a tank. It's one of those knives that just feels "right" in my hand.

Think it's just Sal's way of gently reminding us that, in the broadest sense, we're all from the same place.

Want to see Chad's and Alex's designs move from prototype to production. Ditto on the collaboration version of Jens Anso's Rocklobster and Ed Schempp's interpretations of the Kris and Kukri. As for "in house" designs... Second generation R - Original was one of Sal's best designs if not TH...

Hey Jeff, hope you feel better soon. Assuming you're using milk in it, you might try switching from coffee, to tea with lemon, or using lemon instead of milk in your coffee. Have found that, at least for me, there's more than a little truth to the "old wive's tale" that dairy products incr...

But getting back to the original topic, the real trick is figuring out which of today's crop of :spyder: s, if any, will have skyrocketed in value 25 years from now. Not that I'm likely to be around then, but will whoever winds up with my collection find the PE 93mm Rescues worth more than the Manix...

How about getting the "all god's critters have knives" print as a full back tattoo? Wouldn't that be awesome? I say if anyone wants this on his back we should all donate to the cause just to see it done. Free tattoo, anyone? :D Well, I'd volunteer, the space is definitely empty, but...

To clarify my comments on BladeForums a bit. I love the Jester. I consider it to be one of the Sal's best designs and superior to anything its size. So, if :spyder: were to upgrade one of their FRN key ring knives to VG10, my choice would be the Jester over the Ladybug. As some have pointed out, pro...

Have heard stories before of the false edge on Workers being sharp. Could even swear I saw that in the book, but don't have it in front of me right now, will check one of these days. On the other hand every one that I have is not and does not appear ever to have had a truly sharpened false edge, non...

Sorry Joe, but as much as I love the :spyder: I must admit I'd be somewhat sad if it suddenly showed up on the blade of a Kiwi. Do find it more acceptable on the larger more utilitarian designs like the Stretch and Para, think it detracts from the UK Pen, relieved that it appears to be missing from ...

Nice catch DW, as long as FB carry is tolerated in your area, the Ronin has some strong points for utilty as well as SD use. Use it in good health my friend.
