I think the Enuff 2 is the first production fixed blade in k390. Or among the first.
The steel is rare outside of Spyderco, in general.

Re: upgraded steels for less popular models
It’s probably inevitable that I buy both the k390 LT3LW and a k390 Rock/Leafjumper. A melding of the two knives is close to the ideal pocket knife design for the role my Rockjumper is currently filling. It’s a stretch to ask for that, but you’ll probably see me asking for this and/or a slightly bigg...

Re: Reveal 12 Live!
We all view value differently. It’s useful to record and compare prices and materials, but value is not generally an objective quality. To say the same thing differently, I think there is a lot more variation in people’s standards regarding value, both within and outside this forum, than we can effe...

Re: Reveal 12 Live!
The k390 Enuff 2 apparently being the same price as the VG10 version is convincing. It’s trying to convince me to get a VG10 serrated and k390 plain edge, I mean.

Re: Super stainless (but not H1 or LC200N) question.
Most among the “Super Steel” ranks have been mentioned already.
I think if you’re interested in good stainless steels there are many that are worth trying.
BD1N doesn’t have super edge retention, but it is slightly better than LC200N and still very stainless.

Re: UKPK Salt now in Magnacut!
Out of the 4 UKPK Salt models only the LC200N PlainEdge has been released by Spyderco. https://i.imgur.com/vrt4E78.jpg I bought a yellow serrated LC200N before the new year from a dealer. I guess you mean that the green LC200N plain edge is the only UKPK version released at this time of the announc...

Re: 2023 Spyderco Product Guide - Now Live!
I believe this switch to MagnaCut is being considered some kind of CQI to be tested in Salts that already exist like the Native and UKPK. In contrast, I predict a MagnaCut Manix 2 LW would be presented in a new reveal because it would be a new Salt model. I mention the Manix as an example, but I’m n...

I like the CBBL, but I do still prefer back locks.
If I could disengage the CBBL with my thumb from the spine, I’d have more trouble choosing between the two.

Re: Respect back for 2023?
I’m curious as well.
It may just be there because it is not technically discontinued. Or maybe there’s been some kind of CQI.
Is it really out of stock everywhere?

Re: UKPK Salt now in Magnacut!
Other than ease of sharpening and handle color, is there any reason to prefer the LC200N over the Magnacut UKPK? LC200N has higher toughness. It is still an excellent steel that has its place. Utilizing H1/H2, LC200N, and MagnaCut should mean the Salts cover a very wide range of properties that hav...

Re: UKPK Salt now in Magnacut!
It is very attractive as an exceptionally stainless steel that has a balance of properties otherwise reported to be similar to CPM 4V. The latter steel is lauded for a nice balance of edge retention and toughness, as well as a fine grain structure. There are other sources that go into much further d...

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs: About Time Isn't It?
I would be interested in more serrations across the board. I like the geometry they typically come with and I like the cutting behavior of serrations.
Spyderco does them best, so to me it’s the right place to find knives of various blade shapes, geometries, and materials to try with serrations.

Re: 2023 Spyderco Product Guide - Now Live!
I also thought that the new Enuff 2 sheath’s leather strap seamed interesting. The Jumpmaster’s hardware is all black and it’s H2. I find all of the H2 knives interesting! At first felt like I should have waited to buy a UKPK salt now there’s a MagnaCut option, but I want MagnaCut in something a lit...

Re: upgraded steels for less popular models
MagnaCut RockJumper SpyderEdge and GITD FRN, just saying. I don’t think that is too extreme a knife. I keep asking for this because the RockJumper is the knife I’ll take anywhere. It’s design is, currently, the best for my overall needs while also accommodating what I prefer in a knife to take while...
