Question. Does the zdp-189 lum have a longer edge to spine lenght, than the calypso jr?
If so, as they are both totally flat ground, does this mean that the zdp-189 lum will have a thinner secondary bevel than the calypso jr or the caly3 zdp-189 that is due out later?

sorry for the poor choice of words
Sorry for the poor choice of words, I do not mean to imply that vg10 is a low end steel, just that it is lower than solid zdp-189 or cpms30v. I have my grey calypso jr in vg10 & and my red calpyso jr in zdp-189. I love them both, but if I could only have one of them I would always choose the zdp...

I got my caly3 friday, there are no qc issues at all - it is perfectly made.
I got my caly3 friday, there are no qc issues at all - it is perfectly made. It is very similar to the non-locking uk-penknife, with 4 execeptions; it has vg10 instead of cpm s30v blade, - so, lower end steel - but still very good the bottom finger groove is grooved it's nice - I can take it or leav...

MUST have a classy pocket clip - either wire or polished standard clip
I forgot to add it MUST have a classy pocket clip - either wire or polished standard clip.
I am addicted to spyderco's pocket clips, they can make even a heavy knife seem light, by not sitting at the bottom of your pocket like a brick.

shiney carbon-fiber = scratches
I had a delica with shiny black, carbon fiber handle, I was afraid to use it, set it down, as it would show every little scratch, ended up trading it.
It was very good looking though.
I saw some knives with polished silver tweed g10 that looks like it would hide minor scratches.

Please consider a "delica-sized" Dyad
Please, Please, Please, consider a mid-sized (Delica-sized) Dyad. I know you have a mini due out soon & I WILL buy it, but with no clip & being smaller than my micarta handled mini-dyad, it will just be a sunday-go-to-church knife. Not convient to grab & blades smaller than I prefer. I a...

Silver tweed G10 Handle Scales
I vote for some Silver tweed G10 Handle Scales, on various models that normally use black g10. Maybe on a future release of caly3, after the upcomoming zdp-189 with carbon fiber, of course. or, (I know, I'm dreaming) of a delica-sized DYAD ,with ZDP-189 blades & wire clip or polished silver clip.

ngk = $103 w/s&h
I have been on ngk's wait list for months, but finally got the email tht my knife was in.
I promptly ordered it & total damage with s&h is $103.80.
I can't wait for the zdp-189 & carbon fiber model to be released.

I have a suggestion, but as I have no idea of the cost, or the marketability, you be the judge, if it is feasable. If the caly3 (or other full slab models) are screwed-together, how hard/expensive would it be to have replacable slabs? Example, unscrew 2 screws, pop on a different color/material slab...

The small micarta dyad does have a clip
The small micarta dyad does have a clip. Mine came with the black clip, that I use when wearing dark pants to have the clip disapear. Otherwise I use a spare polished silver clip, looks great against the polished micarta handles & the silver colored blades. I wish they made one witht the handle ...

I also vote for the dragonfly in zdp-189 My hope is they will keep the dragonfly with the zytel handle, as my wife and I currently have matching lightweight dragonflys on our key-rings, held in place with kydex quick-release key-fobs by Eric of On-Scene Tactical - http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/ I als...

Wanted: Delica-sized Dyad
I hope the upcoming Micro-Dyad is going to be such a success, that it will inspire you to make a Delica-sized Dyad. I have owned the full sized Dyad & it was great for outdoor use, but too big for the office. I still own the mini Dyad with polished micarta handles & love it, but if it was an...
