Re: Pre 2005 Spyderco Models For Sprint Runs? Most Desired? Most Needed?
I just got a Chinook 4, and one of the first thoughts that came to me while playing with the power lock was "this should be on the Ayoob". I'll take one of those nice Persians. Its about time we had another bolstered beauty. Finally, and I'm likely in the minority, I'd take a nice new Sha...

Re: Hawkfly in Action!
Looks nice! I like the cutting down the box trick. I've been discarding the box, which leaves me wondering whether it was the fish at 400 degrees for 20 minutes of if that was the chicken nuggets.

Re: Backlocks and back spacers
I finally got mine today. I can flex the blade in towards the back spacer, but it does not appear to be contacting anything. I cannot see a flat on the edge, nor any marks on the back spacer or lock spring. It is much lighter than I imagined; closer to the Military, while my old friend K2 is a brick...

After a second look, these look like real pictures, not renders: https://www.knivesandtools.co.uk/en/pt/-spyderco-military-titanium-c36tip.htm This dealer still has pictures of the older model when it comes to the fluted one: https://www.knivesandtools.co.uk/en/pt/-spyderco-military-fluted-titanium-...

Re: Any idea when/if fluted Ti Millie will get upgrades?
I wouldn't mind knowing this myself, about the "regular" unfluted Millie. I realize the weight is quite a bit more than a regular model, however I quite like my K2, and melding those two favorites together has me interested. I imagine both the fluted and unfluted titanium models move a lit...

Re: Calling all Canadians - Canadian knife discussion
I like. We could even go delica & endura size, like the recent Pakka wood HAP40's, to meet most folk's size preference.
Scale possibilities: Some maple with bolsters (extra fancy!), G10 (red?, white?, both?, some sort of natural colour (brown, tan), arctic camo?), or FRN (same colours).

Re: Calling all Canadians - Canadian knife discussion
While the Grohmann's may be the Canadian design on paper, in practice I've never seen one. I've seen more bowies than anything else in the field. Buck 110's and 119's, and their like from Ontario, Kabar, etc. Whitetail deer is the largest game around. Most have no use for a larger knife. Likely most...

Re: Calling all Canadians - Canadian knife discussion
There should be easy access to the lock and hole, and I'd much prefer the large "oversized" hole. As was mentioned, there aren't many restrictions, so It's pretty wide open. Personally I like things in the 4 inch plus range due to large hands, but I realize many will prefer something small...

Re: Any update on the Police 4 K390?
Great pics everybody! You said it! I've tried to take a few pics, but my feeble attempts pale in comparison to the amazing shots I keep seeing from many folks on this forum. I'm having a hard time finding reasons not to get one of these. I like the military a lot. Rarely am I without one, so the ne...

I have a Chinook 4 on the way. This was my first pre-order, and it's likely also my last.

I probably would have passed on the S110V Military if it had anything but a black clip. The black Military clips are IMHO the best clips on any spydie.

I was billed for mine today, so it should be on it's way soon. I'll let you know how mine is once I get it. It will definitely be next week though.

Re: Could you manage with 6?
Pretty sure I could get by with just a plain edge S30V Military if I had to. If I'm forcing myself to take six, I'd also pack a K2, likely a Chinook 4 and 3 spare Milie's.

Re: Anyone else grabbing a Chinook 4?
I've had one on pre-order for a while, so I'll be getting one. It's not "on the way" though, and my dealer says they have no idea when it will be. If I like it enough, I will buy a spare.

Re: New Models Dropped: Police 4, Chinook 4, Opus
Thanks a lot for your work. I especially appreciate your up-close videos. I think it's pretty impressive that Spyderco can release these three on the same day and still have much more to come in the coming weeks, not to mention what has already been released this year.

Re: Opus in the wild
The two pics are using different clips, have different lanyard locations, different pivot screws and one has an extra screw on the clip side. What is that extra screw for? https://youtu.be/MxxhWinkizk Interesting. The finished product seems to be a distillation of both the KC and BHQ pictures/rende...

Re: Let's talk about Vanax
Based on the picture you provided alone, if that knife ever makes it to production, I will buy one. That's exactly the sort of thing I'd be interested in. No experience with Vanax myself, but now I'm interested.
