Re: St. Nick's Knives - Exclusive Jester Red FRN CPM 4V Black Coated Blade

I have an old stainless handle serrated Jester that I'm found of, and have been wanting a PE one, but the GITD exclusive a while back just wasn't my thing. This one, now... snagged one.

Re: Why not? Titanium scaled bolt lock Sage.

I'd like to see more bolt lock knives; I like it better than its cousin ball bearing lock. But titanium? Eww. Don't like metal handles very much.

Re: I wish they would bring back.....

I'd love a Dyad revival - but using the original linerless Micarta handle design. The G10 + liners sprint was a lot heavier, bulkier, and for some reason the blades sat further out of the handle when closed. Didn't feel anywhere near as elegant or refined. I was pretty disappointed by it compared to...

Re: Serrata use?

I've used mine for campsite wood processing - making kindling and tinder from bigger pieces of wood when starting a campfire, carving tent stakes, etc. and food prep. Works great; cuts better than a thick heavy blade like it is really should. Love the thing. Probably my favorite Spyderco fixed blade...

Re: BladeHQ Native 5 M4 mint green dropping Dec. 3

Mine was delivered yesterday... my first Native 5 LW. Is this really a FRN handle as advertised? It feels like the FRCP on the Manix 2, not like my other Golden-made FRN handled knives (And nothing like Seki FRN).

Re: Which knives you like so much, you buy duplicates?

I have 5 Delicas in 5 different steels, and 3 Stretch 1's (Plus a 2 gathering dust and rust)... duplicates of a few others, usually to get one tool steel and one stainless.

All these funky, pastel easter egg knives that came out this year certainly saved me a few hundred dollars!
They're bleeding me dry. I like the different colors!

Re: Blade HQ Lil Native in Satin M4 and jade scales

I'm really torn on this one. I've been planning on adding a Lil' Native to the collection, but I've been eyeing a serrated one instead of PE to spice things up. Yet I really like M4, and will take it over S30V any day of the week (There are many steels that I will take over S30V, granted), so a chan...

at this rate, m4 is going to be more common than s30v.
That would be amazing and wonderful.

Buy both... :)
I did; Serrata a few years ago where it quickly became one of my favorite camping/outdoors knives, Sustain last week. Even though it's not a design I felt like I had much use for, an early closeout sale was too much to resist... did not expect the handle to be as slim as it is.

Re: Speculative 2022 Discontinued List Discussion Thread

The Serrata and Rhino are both great designs. Shame they're going away. (Will I ever get a 3V or Cruwear Serrata sprint now?)

Surprised at the Brouwer - it seems somewhat popular. I see it mentioned a lot more than some knives I was betting would be on the list.

Re: Rockjumper SE or not?

I picked up a serrated one because I already had a bunch of PE wharncliffe blades, but none with teeth. It likes to cut stuff. Eats blackberry brambles and cardboard for breakfast. Go for it!

They still haven't gotten all the models from previous reveals released; why promise more when they haven't finished delivering yet?

I think it looked like of blueish. I'd like the same Rock Blue color they used in their 20CV PM3LW, but it looks too dark for that.

The Smock itself is an awesome knife but so are the Shaman, PM2, Chokwe and Sage 5.
The Chokwe has a frame lock. Did you mean the Watu?

(Both are awesome)

Re: Differing tabs on compression locks.

The one on the Lil' Temp 3 bugs me a bit because the tab, and the cutout on the opposite scale, don't quite align. The cutout needs to be shifted back a few millimeters. You can see it in this picture. Still easy to close, just looks weird.

Re: DLT black & red zome Endela dropping Sept. 14

Picked up mine from the post office today. First Endela, though I have a few Delicas and an Endura. I think I like this in-between size. Ironically, when I first started shopping for Spydercos, I was looking for blades under 3", you know, smaller knives. Loved the N5, then got a LW M2 and love...
