Re: OD Green PM2?

I was on the fence on this PM2 last time it was released. I didn't buy it and I've regretted it. Now it's out again and I'm back on the fence because there's just too many other knives dropping lately. Too many PM2s & Para 3s for me too. I know everybody loves them (I do too) but I'm quickly bec...

The potential is something that cuts as long as s110v, but sharpens like VG10, and with the toughness and stain resistance of s35vn.
Imagine that! That would be amazing!

Re: Mantra Bearing Race

I haven't heard anyone say spyderco's bearings are better than their washers. I've only heard people defend the bearings as being good enough. I've definitely not heard anyone compare them directly to other known quality manufacturers' bearings because i have a good feeling everyone knows who would...

Re: Help with an odd native 5?

Hi Barry,

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum!

I happen to have same knife sitting next to me at the moment. The lettering on yours is definitely different than what's on mine. I noticed the placement of the Spyderco logo on your clip is lower than what's on mine too. Something's not right here.

Re: Site not secure?

Hi Kristi, I saw spyderg's post the other day. I looked into it and saw that my browser (Chrome) said the forum was indeed unsecured (http not https) and didn't think much of it. I figured as long as users weren't entering personal info here why should it matter? The main Spyderco site is secured wh...

Re: Spyderco civilian why not EDC?

La etiqueta que le acompaña a la mia lo dice, no es adecuado para edc, la punta es demasiado fina y la mínima torsión seguramente la romperá. Con el grillo o Lil matriarch no tendrías esos problemas. For those who don't read Spanish :D ...... "The label that accompanies mine says it, it is not...

Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

I would expect these to keep trickling out for awhile. In the Caly 3 thread Sal confirmed that the Calypso Jr is coming is small batches. The Caly 3 HAP40 sprint run was the same way. For those waiting for one of these, be patient and keep your eyes peeled. Hopefully you'll get one. Edited....At thi...

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Kristi at Spyderco has quoted that DLC had no effect on rusting for the carbon steels. That it will rust from the inside out if not properly maintained. Seems to be a major misconception. Hmm...the post in the thread linked below is from back in 2013. So Spyderco's view of this subject may have cha...

Just got a Sliverax yesterday and it will be replacing my PM2 as primary edc. So much blade in such a small package.
I just put mine back in my pocket a few minutes ago. The design really does have a lot going for it. I realize it's not for everyone but I sure like it.

Haha they’ve done carbon fiber before as well. :D
You don't see that one very often. Maybe they should do a different CF for this one. That would be kind of cool. Maybe a little pricey but worth it no doubt.

I’ve been beating this drum for a while now so I’m glad to see someone else start a ukpk sprint thread. Thanks Spark Guy. As usually I hope for G10 scales but it’ll likely be frn which is good too. Please don’t do green though! Orange, tan, blue, yellow, grey..anything but green. :D 52100 would be ...

Re: Spyderco civilian why not EDC?

^ Yeah, I thought I remembered something about a warning that was included with knife. I still think my post is valid. Technically the store owner is correct. If the OP breaks the tip off their knife they shouldn't expect Spyderco to fix it under warranty. I think that's true with any of their knive...

Re: Spyderco civilian why not EDC?

....the store owner said that he does not have it in his inventory, since it is not a knife but rather a self defense weapon, and it cannot be used for EDC tasks because it voids the warranty .... First, welcome to the Spyderco Forums. I'm not sure the store owner is completely correct here. I'm pr...

Re: Caly 3 EDC perfection? Could we see a compression?

The 3.5 was a Caly 3 designed for me. I prefer a longer blade. I'm currently experimenting with a possible Caly 3.5 in a light weight with nested liners like the Endura. Bi directional texture, with another maker. We usually don't like to change makers, but if the FRN version is popular, we'll need...
