Re: Spydiechef
Mine has some lock stick, mild in my opinion. I wouldn’t part with it. A favorite of mine.

Re: Endela; leaf edge, straight spine?
“For me, and for many, the mid back lock has so many significant advantages over other lock types” We’ll have to agree to disagree about the mid back lock. What other professions do you think Spyderco will honor? What colors? I might be interested in one of them.

Re: Endela; leaf edge, straight spine?
I prefer leaf blades to drop points or almost anything though I have a soft spot for a sheepsfoot or Wharncliff. My first couple of Spydies were a Superleaf and a Manix LW. Still have them. The Endela would be on my shortlist if it weren’t a backlock.

Re: Spy27 models ?
Hasn’t been shelved. It’s a new steel and is being rolled out. The Manix LW is a great knife and the SPY 27 a substantial upgrade over BD1N IMO. I do like my Manix in BD 1 and I think it was my first Spydie so I won’t be getting rid of it. There’s a lot to like about SPY 27 and I expect it will be a...

Re: To decide between these 4 Spydercos..
I love the comp lock, and LC 200N, not a huge fan of S30 V or VG 10 but a knife is more than the sum of its blade steel and lock. I do not own a Vallotton but I have handled one and though heavy it felt good in the hand. I have 2 Military’s and it is an amazing design. It’s an amazing knife. I would...

Does this mean a possibility of expanded supply of CPM MagnaCut for the Mule team platform? Judging from the forum posts this is an unprecedented level of interest.

If all else fails....try finding someone else’s beater and swap in their pivot. I would try the Warranty route though.

Re: Did Spyderco do a 2021 knife lapel pin?
I won one by answering trivia questions standing in the snow outside Spyderco. I was waiting to get inside for the seconds sale. I answered every question for a while but there was some grumbling about me getting all the questions right. I started waiting until 2-3 wrong answers before answering. I ...

Re: Z-cut bread knife please
I have a bread knife like that and a more traditional one. The frame just gets in the way. A Z- Cut bread knife would be awesome. I love all my Spyderco kitchen knives from counter Puppy to Santoku, the Cook’s knife especially.

I haven’t seen Swayback among the recommendations. I love the Chapparal in Raffir Noble, if scratching is a concern a leather pocket slip would compliment it nicely. Is a Roadie too small?

Re: Does Spyderco Have a Knife w a Glass Breaker?
That’s a good point I didn’t realize that the hood isn’t on the H1 version. I think the hood is a good feature which (I hope never) could be critical if I were in a real emergency.

Re: Knife lubricating agents
I’m not a chemist. I like 3 in 1 used sparingly. I have some White Lightning bicycle chain lube around which is a liquid wax. Drop or two, work it in by opening and closing the knife, wipe off the film, done. The pivot never contacts the food and the lube doesn’t run onto the blade so I don’t worry ...

Re: Does Spyderco Have a Knife w a Glass Breaker?
I keep one in my center console. The SALT model is H1 and just $15 more. Mine is VG 10 which considering how little I use it day to day is fine. It’s really just there for emergencies.

Re: SPY27 Manix 2 Lightweight
I just received my SPY 27 Manix and it has a mark on the blade 087V. Is that a collector’s #? I purchased from a legit dealer, the knife is clearly genuine. (I own other Manix 2’s to compare.) I like the color a lot. Hopefully I love the steel. The knife action is pretty stiff like previous new Mani...
