I have the Worker sprint - great knife. It is surprising they haven't done anything in it since.

Re: Your Personal Collection?

A couple Puma's my parents bought for me when they were in Europe in the 80's. Two old Queen knives that belonged to my grandfather. A Western Stockman that was the first "nice" knife I bought myself around 1970. Just sentimental value. And made in the USA :) As for Spyderco's, much as I l...

Re: Got first Spyderco, somewhat disappointed...

There shouldn't be any issue opening a brand new Native with one hand. There must be something wrong with that knife.

Re: Hollow Grinds

In my uneducated opinion, a hollow grind requires an extra step in manufacturing that increases the cost of making a blade. Flat grinds allow us to enjoy more affordable products. A hollow grind appeals to me not for edge retention and cutting, but the shear beauty (pun intended). The gleam of a ho...

Why anyone would want an inferior backlock is beyond me. I'll take a compression lock, please.
As Patrick Swayze said, "opinions vary". :)

There's an old saying, have the right tool for the job. No knife is the right tool for cutting co-axial cable......

Re: A Tale of Two Hawkbills

Not a hawkbill, but I have a G-10 Byrd Robin. It's my beater EDC when I'm out and about on the property and lawn. The thing is built like a tank, solid as a rock.

Re: unreal!

Just dispute the charges, you'll get your money back. It sucks, but it's usually not too much hassle. Yep, call your credit card company and start the process. It will take a while but you should be OK in the end. Once they've started the dispute they will likely tell you not to pay them for the ch...

Haven't changed EDC regulars: Manix, Para 3, Native.

Got bored last night and ordered a new knife I will add to see if I like it :) Finally trying a ZT.

I've been liquidating many the past year, getting down to a few EDC's. The more prices go up, the more I'll get for mine on eBay.

I like splinter pickers. The Pattada has a nice acute tip. The most acute tip I have seen is on the Des Horn.
The blade on that Des Horn is beautiful in every way :)

Re: Chaparral FRN CQI

I must be missing something. Basically the knife is defective, and from the posts here no one really cares, just can't wait to spend money on a properly designed new one???? I have the FRN Chap and love the knife, but if the clip fails will be sending it back and expecting a new version or proper re...
