Re: Next Reveal Anticipation

Including the Dealer Exclusive coming out on Tuesday, only 42 of the 92 (46%) new Spyderco knife models released this year have been new regular production models. New and restock of Exclusives/Sprints/Mule Teams have seemingly taken a significant portion of the production capacity away from new an...

I bought a $180 dragonfly exclusive and it arrived with major issues. It was a complete disappointment. No more Japanese Spyderco knives for me.
$180 for a Dragonfly!? LOL!! That's a problem all of its own.

Re: Bladeops Upcoming Elmax Exclusive

What matters in the comparison is the price the dealer is selling it at. Here, side by side, are BladeOps regular production PM2 next to the new Exclusive. [img] I get it. I’m just saying that if you compare MSRP it is only $5 extra. And that the previous Elmax PM2 was sold for $20 more than the cu...

Re: BHQ Exclusive PM2 - DLC REX45/Copper

The price difference between the ParaMilitary2 Sprint REX45 Satin Blade with Burnt Orange G-10 scales ($146.22) and the BladeHQ Exclusive REX45 Satin Blade with Solid Copper scales ($215.00) was a whopping $68.78! That variant was released 3 years ago. It's unfair to compare the two when there have...

Re: Can we talk about Amazon?

5 years ago I purchased a Yojimbo 2 from a 3rd party seller, it was shipped by Amazon, and I received a counterfeit. The maker did a pretty good job stealing the design, I didn't realize it was fake until I disassembled it and noticed the tang didn't have the date laser etched, there were more abnor...

Re: Cheaper Darn Dao?

Hi Sal, I've noticed some disagreement amongst the forum about what a Flash Batch actually is. I was under the impression that once a Flash Batch is made, the model itself will never again be made again. Regardless of steel and handle material combinations, the model itself will not be repeated. Ot...

MAP pricing must allow dealers to make a great profit if DACK is able to sell for those prices and still make profit.

Re: Which Spyderco Knife do I get next?

What's wrong with the 4 knives that you already have? They will work just fine for the intended use and last a lifetime if properly used and cared for. Save some money and use the blades that you already have.

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive

DLT has a good sense for exclusives unlike another retailer that is stuck on a certain color and steel. How many exclusives have you brought to the market? There is more than one dealer that has their specific color and steel combinations and they sell out every time. DLT isn't doing anything speci...

Re: Rivers Edge Cutlery Upcoming Exclusive

It's no surprise to see that this release was a s**t show. The Para 3 was a joke, PM2 was even worse and by the time the Lil Native was released I had decided that rivers edge should slide into the river and sink out of existence.

Re: Shout out to DLT Trading!

I shouted out loud last time DLT released a Para 3 and their website went down. I ended up not getting one because I was at work and didn't have time to sit and refresh the website. Almost all dealers ship same day if ordered early enough. USPS deserves the credit for actually getting the orders del...

Re: Who wants more models with raffir noble scales?

Raffir, just like wood, needs someone to cull the pieces that that look less than stellar. Based on what I saw of the many Raffir Chaps posted on forums, the maker seemed to use every piece no matter how it looked. Raffir is not G10 or Micarta, it needs sorting before use on a knife. Apparently thi...

A Manix with a compression lock wouldn't be a Manix anymore.
How do you figure?
In my opinion, if the Manix has a compression lock, it's no longer a Manix, it's a completely different knife with re-engineered everything. I say call it something different if the lock is unnecessarily changed.
