Sal, can you give us an approximate price, size, and steel? Thanks. Will it be ready within two years or is there any way of telling?

I was looking at Red Bone or Rosewood but the Pocket Worn ones do look rather nice. I only wish they would make them in CV! That steel is a pleasure to sharpen on an Arkansas benchstone, and it gets razor sharp.

Poll: Tip up or Tip down

Which do you prefer and why? My vote goes to tip-up for ease of opening. I can honestly see no reason for tip down, but there must be one because Spyderco continues to make them.

What do you carry on a keychain?

I carry a Maglite Solitaire, a P-38 with the blade taped down so it doesn't snag on stuff, a Swiss-Tech Utili-Key UST, a Swiss-Tech Micro-Technician Plus, and my keys on a a steel load-bearing caribeaner. (holds 180 pounds) I think Samo posted something kind of like this but I'm not sure so sorry if...

CRKT Stiff Kiss. Cheap, dull, hard to sharpen, and the torx screws that hold on the clip are a pain to screw in. Also, I had to wrap the handle in climbing cord (really thin) to even get a semi-comfortable grip on it.

How do you post those Spyderbugs?

I'm just wondering, is that some kind of thing you have to attach, or is it like the smilies. If so, what's the charachter for it? Oh, and I figured out how to post in bold and italics Thanks.

Planning my expedition

...to Great Smoky Mountain Kinfe Works. Probably my only serious opportunity to buy knives all year long. So far, here's my list: A Case Russlock, some kind of Case sheath knife with CV steel, a Spydie or two, and possibly a M.O.D. . Do you have any reccomendations for new Spydies?
