Although I am liscensed to carry a firearm concealed I seldom do unless Im going to an area that I consider high threat,I avoid these places as much a possible and agree that awareness and avoidence are the best defense. I always carry at least one knife all the time and admit that it serves for uti...

Spare clips?
Just broke the clip clean off my LW calyspo jr,never seen this happen before, it broke at the first bend after the screws, does anybody know where I can get a few spare clips, or should I just call Spy and see if they sell them? The knife is fine so no need to send it in. Thanks JON

What I ment was better blade steel on the ss handled delica 2 and endura 2 but I realize that most people who buy these knives dont care about blade steel and you would half to raise prices if a better steel was used-I would gladly pay more but I would also like to see the SS rookie back even if the...

Sal, although I enjoy and use knives from other makers, in my opinion, spydercos have always had the best preforming blades, your heat treating and tempering must be very precise, even when compairing a spy blade in say 8A to another popular brand in ATS-34, your blade holds and takes a better edge,...

Sal, here is the information you requested on the Norton waterstones and other norton stones in general. Waterstone grit conversons and what Norton recomends the grits for; 220=220 extra coarse, edge repair. 1000=325 coarse, establising an edge. 4000=600 fine, edge maintenance. 8000=1200 extra fine,...

The best penetrating spyderco? Has to be the Centofante2 C50 or C25, they have a needle sharp tip and the secure lock with the linerlock to keep them from closing on your hand, although they have no form of protection from your hand slipping up on the blade which rules them out for any serious duty ...

To JMC, you should be happy with V-G 10, S30v or 440V depending on your needs, like joe said S30v is better for a thin grind and has better wear resistance than Vg-10 or BG-42, go with 440V if you use a more normal angle 15-20 degrees. One thing I might add is to get yourself some diamond stones if ...

JOE, my experience with M-2 (3 folders 2 small fixed blades) has shown me that it holds an edge as long as 440V and is tougher. I am thinking about buying a folder in S90V (few factory options) and will let you know how it preforms. Overall I think that S30v,VG-10,440v,and BG-42 are the best commonl...
