Question for Police 3 Fans
Hey everyone, I was wondering if those of you who have a Police 3 have a preference for the Spyderedge or the plain edge on this particular model. I can't get both and haven't seen any comparisons between the two edges on the Police 3. I'm leaning towards SE because it seems to fit the design better...

I have a plain edge Native in S30V that I'm liking a lot. It's a great compact workhorse, and the only FRN knife I like (so far) for clipless carry. Don't know if I should get the KC Brown in XHP for the awesome brown color and new to me steel, or get a serrated version and use it like I hate it jus...

I just use a Lansky Delux system to reprofile/set the bevels right now, and a sharpmaker, UF rods, and a KP Strop Block are what I use to set microbevels and maintain the edge. I have lately been carrying my orange D'fly with a microbevel on the factory edge that at least starts out with the ability...

I am all for getting to see more diversity in Japanese steels fro Spyderco. If the makers there will only work with their steels, let's play by there rules. I love FRN models and assuming Sal is fine with the mold costs (maybe it would not require any retooling) I would love to see any platform in ...

I think Cowry X would be a long shot in all honesty as it seems pretty rare/expensive but that hasn't really stopped Spyderco so far. X compares to ZDP but with slightly different composition. Shirogami 1 may not offer any advantages over SuperBlue (probably why Spyderco selected Superblue to begin ...

Well just from looking into this, and no personal experience, but here are a couple links to each - Cowry-X - http://www.zknives.com/knives/steels/cowry-x.shtml Shirogami 1 - http://www.japanesechefsknife.com/InformationAboutSteels.html See what you guys make of these. I'm sure we could find interes...

I'm interested in anything FRN. Seems like the PERFECT series of knives to test steels. Much more affordable than g10 and fancy locks, while being more than strong enough for extended heavy cutting, so I'm really hoping Sal keeps this going. Any new or harder to find steel would be totally awesome, ...

It is just unnatural to me. I'm too used to knives I can open/close with one hand. I love my liner locks and frame locks. I would buy anything with a compression lock though! I would HIGHLY suggest looking into a Native. Any well-designed backlock, especially one with a choil, can be closed and ope...

Also, I should add that the only reason I can even feel cramped on the stretch is BECAUSE of the IMHO better and more refined handle ergo's. It just settles your hand into one position, so if your paws are too big for it (mine are slightly) then you may prefer the Endura. Didn't want to sound like I...

I'm not an Endura fan so I would immediately say Stretch, but thinking unbiased I would say if you ever find that you use your knife with gloves on, the Endura would be a better choice because of the bigger handle. The Stretch fits my hand near perfectly but doesn't leave any room for the added bul...
