Re: What is the most general use Spyderco blade steel in your opinion?

I quite like CTS-XHP as an all-around steel: no real weakness and so much to like. VG10 is still fine though.

Uncoated lock bar makes a huge difference in the looks on this one imo.
It sure does, and I like it much better than the black version. Now I'm definitely sure to buy one... whenever it comes.

A Native with the Q-Ball lock. Or a Manbug with a Jester-like blade (Manster? Jestbug?).

I bought two at the same time: a Centofante 3 and a SS Jester.

Native and Dragonfly for me, but I'll probably try a Manix at some point.

Re: 2018 Discontinued List

I thought it would be worse, to be honest. There's no knife I'm really sorry to see discontinued as in previous years. Maybe I'll get a One-Eyed Jack, if the price is right...

The usual suspects: Jester, Dodo and Persian. Any - or all - of them, please.

Re: Clips: Love ‘em, Hate ‘em, Don’t care?

The thing I like about clips? They're removable...

I understand why they are popular, but for me a clip just ruins the ergonomics and the design of a knife.

The Pacific Salt is a very popular knife, but for some reason the Salt and the Atlantic Salt don't receive as much attention.

Re: Is the Dragonfly Obsolete?

If I don't use the choil - and I usually don't - the Dragonfly is a 3 finger knife for me; but I can get a confortable 4 finger grip if I use a lanyard, which is not possible with a Chaparral (no lanyard hole).

The Dragonfly is a classic. It can't get obsolete.

Re: "The one"

It took me years to get a Native, which is weird because it's a knife that has always intrigued me.

Now that I have one in S110V, it's pretty much the only knife I use on a daily basis. Which doesn't mean I'm not waiting for the Native Salt (are we there yet?) ;)

this is not the best example. There have been a boatload of satin S90V Natives. The DLC is at least something new Yes, good point. Cutlery Shoppe should have done XHP S90V seems to work fine for them, but I would have preferred CTS-XHP as well (I used to have their PM2 in XHP). The only reason I ke...
