Let me explain the problem. As a big fan of BG-42 I ordered a CF Military w/ BG-42 (the newest sprint run) by Feuerzeugszentrale in Munich. The lady there asked their provider, but the answer was 'No chance, alles ausverkauft (all sold)'. Firstly, I was disappointed. Then I realized that lady said ...

ABCruz, First off, welcome to the forums! As for submittal, it's extremely important to note that Spyderco receives upwards of 100 submittals every year. That's in addition to ideas that come up in house. Being a company of less than 50 people, everyone here has multiple responsibilities. So, to be ...

Hi Sal, I've got a couple of questions about H1: - What Rc hardness is Spyderco using? - Did you do any tests with X15TN before choosing H1? If yes, how does it compare? Regards, Keno Keno, Sal is out of the office for Blade... we did test X-15TN, H1 met our standards better so we chose it. Here is...

No, we will receive them in two shipments (600 / 600), so that is how we will ship them out.

[quote="Pete1977"] :) they couldn't have picked a better company for the job I don't think. again, off the subject a tiny bit, but the USCG is issued a folding myerchin knife IIRC. I'd think one of the salt series would be a better choice. it is definately less expensive. lighter, has a cl...

Peter,
We're actually in touch with them. I believe they've been copied on all of the progress by my contact in Australia. It was the Center for Coastal Studies that actually referred the folks in Australia to us.

Small world. :)

A couple of notes, the gentleman that I am in contact with has been kind enough to include me on all of his email reports regarding entanglements over the past 4 weeks. In each case, it has been a fishing boat that has spotted the whale. Each of the three success stories were in part possible becaus...

Serrated by hand? That is amazing. How long is that thing, 6-7 inches? And 440c to boot. Just goes to show what an amazing company can do when given a unique proposition. Did they go to any other companies, or was it :spyder: all the way? The blade is actually 340mm long, nearly 13.5". And yes...

No, since it was made here, H1 wasn't an option. Sal chose 440C.

Good guess though, that was our initial reaction too! :D
