Re: How much of your collection do you regularly use?

When my collection was smaller, I used more of it. Yes. I feel this way about money, when i have less i spend more. Or food. I wonder why… Panicked consumption of money or food in short supply is a thing, I suppose. I was merely pointing out an interesting arithmetic problem of use against a collec...

Re: Tool marks on clip for some new knives

The tool marks confirm that spyderco knives are, infact, tools and not jewelry. Except the knife pendants like the ARK. Those are jewelry. Maybe your right but I recall 10, or 15 years ago one was hard pressed find what I will call imperfection on a Spyderco. Unless it was a blemish in box, from sh...

Re: Military 2

While I'm definitely getting a Military 2 I'm kind of sad that I won't be able to swap blades/handles with the standard Military knives I already own. Guess Spyderco will just have to rerun all the steels in the new configuration :P Starting to sound like a certain unnamed computer company named af...

Re: Bad quality of C192TIPM390 Spyderco PITS M390

Also: spyderco focuses on many things, fit and finish being one of them. I think consistency is an issue of human error and as long as humans are involved there will be discrepancies. Some discrepancies have charm IMO, some do not. This whole thing is organic, like life, like love. We always mean we...

Success By Snakejaw Deloitte-Swanson III Once upon a time there was a company. It made good things, so people bought them. Its success allowed the company to grow. As the company grew so did demand. As demand grew it became difficult to match the quality of the what made it successful to begin with....

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I got my plain edge yesterday. The action is a little tight and gritty feeling like a sharp burr is dragging on the liner. No Blade play and I have not adjusted the pivot screw that looks a little chewed up, but the torx bit seems to fit. I have not added oil yet as someone here said to open it 500...

Re: S90V PM2 Teal and DLC

Sometimes something clicks and you don't have to deliberate at all as to whether or not to click ‘buy’ (or in this case, ‘preorder’). No rhyme or reason, i dont even love PM2s. I think I’ve confused the old addage ‘ steel is real’ for ‘teal is real’. Hmm, maybe if they ceracoated the blade teal they...

Re: Military 2

I love the original clip, I'm sad the 2 is losing it for the run of the mill hourglass clip. I remember when i realized all my MOTU figures were the same except for the heads and sometimes the armour and weapons, with the occasional flourish of a claw or spring action to throw you off the scent...

Re: The Carry Conundrum

I have the opposite problem, I try to carry something and keep circling back around to the same one. I've had days where I put a knife in my pocket and before I'm out the door I've turned around and gone back to switch it out for the one I carry the most. +1 When you find the knife that actually fi...
