I have the following Spydercos: older Native in S30V, new Delica 4 (VG10), RF Chaparral, and an older Para model. I really want to get the FRN Chaparral when they finally come out, maybe a Sage 5 or a Manix2. There are so many models and so many steel choices I have a hard time figuring out which on...

A week ago or so I emailed Sypderco (Colorado) concerning when this knife would become available again. I was told "no ETA" at this time. Why wouldn't the company know when a new batch would be manufactured? Maybe I should email the Taiwan plant.

So based on the above it appears the Sage 5 FRN is a loser before it even gets released! :)

I'm very interested in the upcoming Sage 5 LW. Especially since I haven't been able to put my hands on a FRN Chaparral. Other than the obvious differences in locking mechanisms and blade length - what do you see as the pros/cons of this Sage model vs the FRN Chaparral?

The recommendation to give the LW Chaparral a try is great with one big exception - good luck finding one in the USA.

How is the steel on the latest Urban vs the K390 version?

Anyone have any idea of pricing for the sun/moon version - more than regular CF Chaparral?
