Re: DLT Spyderco Hank

Very nice quality hank/cloth, was surprised at the large size based on the original pics, meanwhile the counter puppy was even smaller than expected. Happy with both!

Glad to see this one didn't sell out immediately. Well done Spyderco and BHQ. Congrats to everyone that got one. Doesn't seem like this will be a flipper's paradise.
On sale 12pm EST, sold out around 5:30pm EST

Re: BHQ Shaman Exclusive DLC/M4

The KC rexwood was on pre-order for hours, and then on sale for hours when they actually launched. My sense is they were both just big runs, which is awesome. We're just not used to them sticking around for more than 5 minutes! The RexWood Shaman offered to rescind pre-orders based on an initial mi...

Re: BHQ Shaman Exclusive DLC/M4

Can't confirm via purchase but they appear to have even raised the minimum from 2 to 3 in the last hour or so, at least it now shows that as the max available in cart for me when it previously capped at 2. Did anyone see a total on this run yet? Curious how much of it lasting this long is the quanti...

Re: BHQ Shaman Exclusive DLC/M4

It's still available just shy of two hours... the email I got from BHQ last week said they ordered allot more this time than their first Shaman Exclusive run, so I'd wager that has allot to do with it lingering much longer than last round. I like M4, I don't love it, but it is good steel in my expe...

Re: TKJ Spyderco exclusive cruwear ????

There will be more released on the actual drop date that is TBD as of right now. There is still a chance to get one. Rich Theknifejoker said on his preorder Instagram post that preorders will be open until it sells out so unless he put some aside for February 1 it looks like there sold out for good...

Re: Most Fidget Friendly Knife

This has really got me looking at the Sliverax again, because I love the multiple ways of opening it like my Magnitude. I just have a hard time pulling the trigger on one because of the CF/G10 scales, I‘m just not crazy about the way they feel. Is it worth the money when you have knives like the Ka...

Re: Most Fidget Friendly Knife

I'll add another vote for the Sliverax, if not for personal attachment it would beat the Domino as my favorite flipper. The Sage 5 LW also has the smoothest action of any spydie I own and it's not even really that close, the detent on it is perfect too. The Kapara is maybe my favorite to flick, and ...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

That is darn strange how real came out Forrest green on the Ivory SSS. Did you trey a different soak time? Do you think longer would provide the correct color? Hard to say, the rit teal is more green than blue though and the knife came out darker than the packaging. That said I only dipped it for 3...

Re: Native 5 with Compression Lock please!

I love my backlock Natives but I love my shamans and lil natives too, so I'm sure I'd love a comp lock native. I'd be surprised if the addition would cause backlock natives to suddenly became a rarity since there is clearly a portion of the market with a strong preference for them just like the comp...

Oh yeah that looks awesome RadioactiveSpyder! Planned to swap too but they said they'd do another run in DLC, we'll see if I can wait  Wow, excellent job on the RIT dye! Can you provide your recipe? Appreciate ya, it was done with powdered Teal RIT dye in about 30 minutes and just box instructi...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

Where are the pictures, guys??? 867CD799-3E9F-4A21-B5DA-09B0685A02B6.jpeg Let me know if you want anything specific, it seems identical to the tan DLT version the way the DLT and BBS M390's feel the same. I'm a big fan of the color and look forward to the DLC variant which I think will look awesome...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

Thanks that is a very nice consistent re-color. The salts have definitely come out best in my limited experience. Of the three I've done all came out the exact color of the box used, whereas the gray delica went maroon in the same red bath as the native and the Ivory stretch was done in teal but ca...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I actually got a Rex45 Para 3 from them on Black Friday, was definitely worried about it being a return...which it very well may have been, but it arrived in pristine condition to my surprise. I was also able to grab the para 3 on Black Friday and had the same concern but mine was new and flawless ...

Anybody tried RIT dyeing one of these or something similar that's GITD? If so how were the results and did it still glow? If not I may have to give it a shot, for science. ;)

Re: Ikuchi

Maybe more practice with the thumb flick will do it, but with my smaller hands that was super awkward for me, to the point of unsafe. I felt the same at first and the secure grip was what took a little bit to figure out. I also have small hands and I eventually ended up wrapping my pinky around the...

Re: Straight Spine Stretch

Got mine yesterday and it is awesome in hand. It's my first Stretch and the ergos are great, also compared to the Delica and even the Native the FRN is incredibly grippy in the larger scales. The backlock action on it is great too, big fan all around and hope to see more variants in this style soon!

Just my experience but I would recommend sticking with thumb-opening until it breaks in a bit, mine only took a day of flipping to become noticeably easier and after two was totally smooth all ways, including pulling straight back along spine with index finger which was difficult and painful out of ...
