My 2019 Ladybug Hawkbill Salt project...

I am on a Ladybug kick. I have had one for years, got one early on in the 90's but never used it. Just got it because I thought it was "cute." Then around 2008 I got a SS handled model and wondered just what could you do with one, so I rolled with one for awhile and honestly was surprised ...

Re: Why Don't You Like Framelocks?

I like them and prefer them over liner locks. Your hand supports the lock when your grip the handle, that is not possible with a liner lock. I don't mind the unfinished or unbalanced look, I do like that clip is normally on the lock side and this produces a smooth surface reducing pocket wear. I do ...

I have had a blue Delica in a Spyderpac for over 7 years, it looks the same as the day I got it.

Re: yojimbo salt

I always joke that I love marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate however I don't like smores... I LOVE the Salt knives and I LOVE the Yojimbo, but I would not really care too much for a Yojimbo Salt. S30V is known for its corrosion resistant already, not sure a Salt version has a ton of appli...

Re: Nick's question of "why"?

If the "perfect song" has been written should we stop making music? I watched half the video and it was getting a bit long for me, given the point. A folding knife is a relatively simple thing. Unless you have an innovation in materials or lock or clip... It is always going to be sort of t...

Re: Spyderco found at Walmart in plastic shell

I was able to but 3 Tenacious Spydeys at Walmart for $38 a piece! Not sure what the deal was, but they had been marked down from $48 and do I just bought them all. The ones I bought at Walmart came in the same plastic package the OP posted. If they would have had 20 at that price I would have bough...

Re: Has anyone else noticed this about Spyderco knives?

I think you have realized a reality we all face with our hobbies. Often times the enduring favorites were not the ones we felt the strongest for at first. The opposite is also true. Often the knife we thought we really wanted and loved seems to suffer from fading interest.

Re: Para 3 with CTS 204P River's Edge - New Shipment

With them being somewhat local, I have been to their shop. I would recommend it to any one who might be in the Columbus Ohio area. It is not big, but it is well stocked and you might find an in store sale (which B&M's are allowed to do under MAP). When it comes to sprint runs, If I want one, and...

Re: Manbug Talk

I agree on such a small knife a clip is pointless. What you may consider, however, is that clip attachment they make for SAK's. It is a clip that attaches to the key ring. The knife hangs from it in the pocket, but still is clipped.

Re: Manbug Talk

Been using a ZDP-189 Manbug for years. Honestly I can't tell a lot of difference between the Manbug or Ladybug unless I put them side by side. Honestly I would like to see this knife as a Slipjoint, most of the time the lock is un needed and just in the way. Then again I could just use my Roadie ins...

That just gives a bad name to many in the Martial Arts community unfortunately. Being in the martial arts world for 25 years or so I can relate. Early in my training I added it up. I estimated that I was punched/kicked/thrown, etc about 25,000 times a year. You get used to a certain level of physic...

Re: Bram Frank Gunting

Cool, thanks for the explanations. My other question was how on earth this fits comfortably into a pocket but I suspect there is no answer there :). To answer your question they made holsters for the GUNTING. I still have mine and they fit and carry very well in those holsters too. I forget which s...

Re: So, let's chat about the Chinook

I got a Chinook 2 and loved it. I sold it to fund something and thought "I will get one later..." They got discontinued. I got a Chinook 3 and loved it, and we had some financial issues and I needed to sell some stuff, sold it thinking I would pick one up later... Then it got discontinued....

Interesting, unusual, strong lock. Lighter thinner design.
