Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Thanks for the compliments, guys. It feels great in the hand now. Very nice! Finally got myself a wharncliffe delica :D Nice. How do you like it? I’m missing using mine because the restaurant closed for now. I bet you would have really put one to work in your past job. I remember all your wel...

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

I open it as fast as I need to with the regular thumb in the opening hole traditional method. It's fast and sure and gets out and open quicker than an auto and I just don't need it to be faster. The back locks get smoother as time goes by and the opening hole keeps my thumb right where it's suppose...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Rounded the scales on my Lil Native, and now I’ll finally use it. Feels way better. Now, I have to do the same to my HAP40 Caly 3. So harsh on the hand when square and new.

Re: The best pocket knife ever

I have Dragonflies that spin. It’s just the D thing stripping. Doc’s was getting gritty and tight, though. I think it’s the lock surface breaking down. A slot needs to be ground in the pivot screw back, so a flat driver can hold it still, and find out. Or did you already figure it out, Doc? I can’t ...

It's going to be a long wait for the Dfly, and to find out if a wharncliffe Delica's in there.

Re: >30 degree factory bevels

I sharpen all my knives to around 15 per side, unless they come that way. Then I leave them until touchup time. 20 per side is crappy for whittling wood. You have to push too hard. I wish they all came at 30 degrees (15 per side). I don't care about microbevels. I guess I make them when I lightly ge...

Re: Spyderco serration history

Knowing your part in developing the jazzlica, have your "new" appreciation of serrations changed anything for you regarding the wharncliffe? Do you still use it? Do you now prefer the serrated version? I like a plain edge wharncliffe, but with serrations I like a bit of belly to let the t...
