Not to dissuade you from the Temperance II but the Rock Salt has been reduced in MSRP making it an affordable camp knife. In fact, the Aquasalt's are even cheaper. I would think you would do fine with the TempII unless you are around salt water long or cutting lemons and leaving the juice on overni...

I sent him an e-mail that was complimentary and on the same subject. On a forum I try to be brief. We are all on the same side and all love the mule

So, are you looking for links to knife supply places? What sort of parts do you speak of? Finished handles are available from Halpern and Cuscadi, and my reviews have links in them. Hector Castro does handles, and will sell you the scales that you can finish. His information is in my update, which ...

Not a burr. I checked by feel and with 10x jewelers loop.

And remember a tip bent and I was able to bend it back, and fairly easy too.

Anyway, I think I am good on the Spyderco VG-10. So we don't need to keep beating it.

Defects of cause happens almost everywhere, but you are talking about several blades I am wondering how did wash the...

VG-1o blade steel

Spyderco used a lot of VG-10. My only previous experience with VG-1o was not impressive. It was on Shun kitchen knives. I didn't like it.. These knives dull quickly. Plus had a tip get bent when being transported wrapped in a carry pouch they sell. I am guessing the answer is going to be that the Sh...

I got mine! I'm looking forward to MDP or someone compiling a list of sources for parts to finish these. I've never had a mule before and am looking forward to trying it out. I got two one as a user and one to do up nice.

I tried to get some shots of the damage, b ut my camera sucks at close up. I have cut all kinds of stuff with this knife and never had a bit of trouble. Partially cooked duck bones and some prying don't mix there is an icon in the menu or a button on most cameras that looks like a flower. It is cal...
