Re: Best ways to gain horsepower and torque?
It's been a while since I did anything with a mod motor so I can't remember if the 99 had the "P heads" or if they came later but at some point Ford improved the heads a bit and they made more power. Another option would be aftermarket or CNC ported heads and cams, but you're looking at a...

Best ways to gain horsepower and torque?
Hey all, it's been a while, so hello again! This last December, I bought a 1999 Ford F150 4x4 with the 4.6L V8. Got it for 4k with 123k miles on it. It's a great truck all around and everything on it just... Works. My only gripe about it, is that the 4.6 V8 can be a bit of a dog sometimes and I'm lo...

Re: Spyderco bad quality in recent years Also WR dept changed
A bit disappointed to hear there's been more negative and non constructive criticisms on the forums recently, but I'm glad to see some of the good ole boys are keeping the place up. Looks like there's a few new guys and gals adding some positive vibes to the forums too, which is always great to see!...

Re: Fruit Juices: Your favorites?
Mango juice is definitely my favorite. Freshly squeezed and strained. We also have very good apple cider here on the Central coast in CA. The best comes from a little shack nestled in a canyon close to Avila Beach. Gopher Glen cider and apples.

Re: iPhone earbud ear phones???
I have been very happy with my Skullcandy Strums. In ear, noise blocking, have volume control slider and play/pause button. Bass is great, mids and highs are crisp and clear, and they fit and feel great. Got mine for $50 on Amazon about a year and a half ago. Still going strong and not showing much ...

I am in agreement with you, SEF. The Heliocentric theory is also the only reasonable theory when predicting planetary motion. No other theory, especially Geocentric, are able to accurately predict where the planets will be and when.

Lateral movement when blade is closed???
Hey all! I recently got my hands on a ZT 0550 and it's quite a tank. Built to handle tasks I don't even think I have the physical strength to impose on it :p The only problem I have with it, is that the blade has a tiny bit of lateral movement when its in the closed position. I figured it had someth...

Acid wash blade food safe?
Hey all, first of all, it's been a while so hello :D I just picked up a ZT 0550 in a trade recently and the previous owner acid stonewashed the blade. I use my knives for a lot of things, food being an occasional one, bit often enough that I would be concerned about this. If the wash has been on the...

Re: Spyderco Dice (not knife)
I bought an SE ladybug for the express purpose of getting these dice. The ladybug was also a little more than a nice perk Also got the Kershaw dice a while back. Also very cool. Shinier and more metallic than the Spydie dice.

Re: Spyderco to the rescue....again
Well I was basing my assessment of 440V on many years of my own personal usage. It's fair to say that any steel can chip under extremely adverse circumstances. But I will still say that 440V is less prone to chipping than at least a dozen blade steels I could mention. And you are so right-on when y...

Re: Spyderco to the rescue....again
Seems 440V still cuts just fine! Well done OldHoosier62. This just confirms what I've been saying for a few years now >> that 440V is a great blade steel for Spyderedged models. It doesn't chip like some I could mention. This is also a valid testimony that we NEED the Military model to return in Sp...

Re: I had a dream
The other night I had a dream I was sitting on my bed with my 52100 Military, and I was trimming a little piece of skin off a finger or something when I noticed I was holding the knife by the blade. I moved my fingers and saw that my fingerprints had instantly started to patina the blade. Then that...

Re: What does a knife mean to you?
Preparedness. A good knife can often mean the difference between life and death in survival situations. A knife can save a life, or take a life, it can break down materials that would ordinarily be impossible or very difficult to break down with your bare hands, in mere minutes or even seconds. To t...

Just got ahold of an SB Endura. Very fun knife. I had not owned a knife that wasn't stainless before this one!

Re: Manix 2 G10 CQI?
Ive handled and carried the S110v manix for a few days. Borrowed it from a friend. And I can honestly say I prefer the heft of the Full liners. Could be that im accustomed to it, or maybe its just my love of hefty folders. I do much prefer the cutting ability of the S110v though. Absolutely adored i...

Re: Video Games anyone??
Im am a TES:V Skyrim slave. I absolutely love the game. I've put countless hours into my level 70 Assassin (started off as a classic sword and shield warrior) and I've only completed 1/2 the side quests in the game (add on quests included). Almost went full nerd and got close to learning the entire ...

Re: TiCN Blade Coating
The ticn coating wears faster than the DLC coating, but it holds up very well under even some fairly rough use. I had an Endura black blade and it held up very well over the years.

Anyone have a WolfSpyder? I saw it in the catalog this year and after seeing it in the catalog, I never heard of or saw it again. It looked like a really cool design to me. Anyone know or have a WolfSpyder they'd like to share about?

Medical marijuana and a crying towel in case somebody is mean to you. California native here. This is fairly accurate :p But LA has some restrictions, none of which are strictly enforced so long as you aren't a suspicious looking type ;) Just keep folders blades under 3ish inches. A little leeway i...
