Any new news or rumors? I will definitely buy a Cruwear Endura, as long as it's a plain blade, no coating.

Anyone have (or can take) a comparison pic between the big Calypso and a Native Chief? I used to have a micarta big Calypso, and, in many ways, I think of the Chief as an improved version of it.

I would love to see an updated version of the Merlin (Delica 4 handle makes sense), as long as both PE and SE are available. K390 or Cruwear would be my steel preference. I'm pretty sure the Tasman Salt 2 will be coming out in FFG LC200N, so that will help tide me over until we see a new Merlin

I have found the most reliable indicator that a new model or version will soon be available at the usual dealers with MAP pricing, is when it shows up on eBay. The first one there usually has a CC#. It takes about a week after that.

My HAP40 sprint Caly 3 is the ideal version for me. The steel, and dark green G10 scales, perfectly complement Sal’s classic :spyder: design :)

The one I got in the mail today is the same muted tealy blue as other knives in the series. I guess it's a hard color to get right in photos? It does change in different lights.

I think the color in those pics is just the lighting.

Any news or rumors about a sprint, exclusive, or regular production version of the Sage 5 LW in another steel? I would like to try one, but don't want any more S30V (or black scales ). Cruwear and K390 would be my first choices.

I regularly carry :spyder: s loose in my pocket (sans clip). I only do this with backlocks, as they are the only ones I trust to not accidentally open in my pocket. Fortunately, I’ve never had a serious cut or injury from accidental pocket opening of a non-backlock. I've had enough close calls to kn...

I didn't read the whole thread, so this may have already been addressed. If you ever want to carry the knife loose in a pocket (as opposed to clipped), the backlock is the only one I trust to not accidentally open in my pocket.

As far as I can tell, the handles for the Salt 2 and Tasman Salt 2 are identical. It also seems to be the case with the Delica 4 and Lil Matriarch handles. That’s why I’m thinking a hawkbill blade in the Delica 4 handle would not involve expensive new FRN molds. I guess only :spyder: knows for sure.
