These look like they would be great skinning knives - messy hands grip + easy cleanup. Want.
Actually I have now diagnosed my problem. Last knife viewed = new knife wanted. Duh!

Re: Buying strategy?
My strategy is just to buy it. Find the place with the lowest price right now and place the pre-order or order and don't worry about shopping around for weeks or months in order to save a few bucks. I've done that in the past only to end up with SOLD OUT signs everywhere. In the end it's not work t...

Re: What Spydeco is in your pocket today??
I am thinking you guys are going to get sick of seeing this knife. Guess I need to buy more lol. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i86/HarleyXJGuy/Knives/workingmillie-2.jpg~original It came shaving sharp but now I need to get a sharpening system so I can make the edge crazy sharp and shiny. Also I...

Re: Buying strategy?
Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I'm familiar with unsealed packaging. These were definitely factory sealed, but sliced open. Bizarre to me that returns would just be restocked, without thorough inspection. Then again, coming from a mega-warehouse, global seller...probably not surprising. And like oth...

Which Natives are not made in Golden?JD Spydo wrote: I tend to like the Golden Colorado USA EArth made Natives the best but I also had an AUS-10, combo edged, stainless handled model that also worked great.

Re: Buying strategy?
Thought I'd share my recent Amazon experience. This is probably nothing new, but surprised me. FWIW... I have a Prime membership, so no shipping plus 2-day delivery is nice. Amazon had the best price on the Sage 1, so I pulled the trigger. I say best price, but now they make Fl charge sales tax, so ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
OK, I thought picking up the Sage would scratch the itch for a while. I was wrong. The PM2 has been calling to me. It's now on the way (Satin/Camo) . This is bad!
I think I can now hold off on the DF2 at least until Christmas...

Buying strategy?
Is there any point in waiting to buy a particular model for potential sale prices or discounts later? With something that is selling as fast as the PM2, does the release of a new version ever cause the "old" version to start selling cheaper? Or does it just depend on demand and the motivat...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Four-wheeled Santa dropped off my first Spyderco Sunday - a Sage 1. My oh my. That is a sweet knife. I almost moved it down on my list just for it not having "USA, Earth" stamped on it, but I love it. Next up will probably be a DF2, with a PM2 not far behind. I'm trying to pace myself, but...
