I seem to recall the subject being brought up before, but i still think Spyderco should take over, or host it.. It is an IMO unvaluable source for info, beyond what can be found today on the official site.

Agree.

At least host / own it so it never goes down.

My first port of call for info.

Ok, that would make it an Endura, my bad. It looked small in his hands in the picture, I didn't listen to the video.

Cool. It does help that I've had / carried that exact knife (in Aus-8) for 27 years
so kind of got used to how far handle and blade stick out!

All good

Re: Spyderco folder used in murder, seen on Forensic Files show.

It's a Delica. Too small for an Endura. IMO My reasoning, happy to be corrected. They said 4" blade and it vertainly looks to me like a 4" blade In the court room, the guy holding the knife has a fair chunk of FRN out the top of his clench fist and a small bit of FRN out the bottom Other ...

Re: Spyderco folder used in murder, seen on Forensic Files show.

Nasty. I love spydercos to see one used in a crime makes me sad. But people misuse all kinds of things. Interesting to see older ones still out there though. Is it common for people to own the pre vg10 blades? When did they switch steels? Spydiewiki has good info on your steel questions (when it's ...

Re: Spyderco folder used in murder, seen on Forensic Files show.

Endura 1, SE, G2 blade, FRN Handle with plastic clip. I couldn’t tell if it’s the thin or later thicker clip as hand was covering it.

I have same knife in Aus-8, G2 and VG-10.

The blade is definitely long enough to reach the aorta from both front and above the heart (scapula entry).

Re: Deep carry pocket clips

There seems to be a deep-seated human impulse to insist that other people don't or shouldn't want or need something we don't want or need. It doesn't worry me either way, I don't use clips at all. But their seems to be a deep seated human impulse that insists Spyderco should do it even when the own...

The H1 in the Pacific Salt is better suited for the all time seawater exposure. The lc200n on the Native is still a martensitic steel and therefore still endangered to rust, tho he is more rustproof then many other steels. So plus 1 for the Pacific Salt.
Interesting, thanks.

Yep. D2 pre-dates World War 2 but people love it when chinese knives claim to be D2 :p I love VG10. One of the few stainless steels I'm equally happy with in a fixed blade too. I like Aus-8 but only because Its done well over the many many years. Got a VG-10 coming in an Endura so will compare. (I ...

First run is usually black FRN / VG-10. Then we go from there. sal Dear Sal, I am late to the Party when it comes to VG10 but I have to say it is so good I purchased a second Spyderco Stretch2 tonight in VG10. Re: Deep carry pocket clips

Spyderco stubbornly holds on to their 1980's pocket clip design. Good :) Agree. Spyderco is in the business of making knives and very good ones at that. We see enough "complaints, whinges, bitches and moans" on here and other forums about delays to market of products AND numerous comments...

Re: Folder for skinning deer under $125

A knife that fits you, your hand, feels comfortable to use - like it should be an extension of your hand. Nothing worse than trying to work on an animal with something that feels like a wrench ! One with enough belly to skin with a few sweeps. I don't know the Spydie range well enough to name a mode...

LOL, I was kinda joking as well.

I actually agree with you. Serrations can sometimes more than just not cut a nice slice, they do also make it harder to cut the thickness of anything you want.

Re: Poll: Who´d like to see a non-totally-rustproof, in return budgetfriendly Caribbean?

I put No, but am yet to see one as not crazy of the bee striped yellow handle. I like corrosion resistance because it alleviates any worry on users part. IF they go budget version, I know it's old school but Aus-8 ? Bloody rust proof from what I have seen in 27 years with an Endura - that spent a fa...

That's a slippery slope. I've been thinking about selling a lot of PE lately but I'll probably just keep them for my son. You don’t need cami knives to hunt, as above poster says they make them harder to find.

But even though I don’t own a camp knife, eventually I’ll get a camp spyderco.
