Re: MT31P - Mule Team Featuring CPM S45VN - Release Date

Got locked out of my account and didn't get to order. Oh well, glad for those who were able to score one!

Re: MT31P - Mule Team Featuring CPM S45VN - Release Date

I'm still debating on trying to grab one. The SPY27 was my first Mule and although it's really cool I don't find myself carrying it often.

Re: MT31P - Mule Team Featuring CPM S45VN - Release Date

Wonder if this one will sell as quick as the SPY27?

Re: Street Beat Sprint - Let's Get Serious!

As long as it's Micarta I could deal with whatever steal we get, but I'd love some 52100.

Re: Any interest in ~1.0 mm blade thickness?

I vote no.

I have a few Z-cuts I use in the kitchen and while they work great there I would have no use for a blade thinner than that on an EDC folder.

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

I've got side to side play in mine (first Shaman) and kind of bummed about it seeing as all my other compression lock knives, PM2, Para 3, Yo2, Lil Native, don't have any at all......

But of course this one is a Sprint and if you send it in you're probably not getting it back. Sucks

How do you EDC your Mule?

I finally installed my scales on my first Mule this afternoon and have been experimenting with how to EDC this awesome fixed blade. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding a concealed and comfortable way to carry it with the Boltaron sheath. I originally had planned to carry it horizontally aro...

Re: Wish “salt” blades came on different handle colors other than yellow or green

Yeah, I like the bright colors on some of my Salts because I only use them for outdoor water activities where I want to be able to see and find them quickly.

But, I'm glad my Spydiechef has the Ti handles.

Re: Salt 2 or native 5 salt?

For me the ergos of the Native 5 Salt win out over the Delica, even though I still love the Delica and plan on picking up a Salt 2 when they release. Pic just because........

Re: Spy27 Mule in use and testing feedback

Very cool, please post pics of the finished product. I don't think I have the skills to make them myself but for that price I might give it a shot...... Definitely try it. You may be surprised at how easily it comes to you. Thanks, yes I might give it a whirl. I don't want to hijack this thread any...

Re: Spy27 Mule in use and testing feedback

Awesome. A passing grade from the man himself! ;) Can’t wait to see one of your edges and how it performs. What handle materials are you going to use? I ordered some OD Micarta with stainless hardware. For the sheath, I don't know yet. Probably, I'll end up getting one made local out of leather. Wh...

I love it, PStone! ;) Great testing so far. Hopefully I'll be able to participate soon, when my handle materials arrive. Awesome. Re: Mule Team quantity discussion

I don't have much input on the matter other than I think there should be a standard offering in the lineup so everyone is able to experience the Mule and own one. I just got my first one (SPY27) and have been an avid Spyderco collector/user for years. I'm blown away by how great it is so far and I h...

Re: New scale install?

Should be good on this steel. When they get wet the scales do wick a bit of water under the scales so as above mentioned, check periodically. I have put a thin layer of felt as a liner sprayed to damp with food grade Inox for ones I have tried in the kitchen.. (less stainless steels though) Thanks ...

Spy 27 is stainless. I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you permanently attaching the scales? Or are they removable? If they're removable you can always just take them off to inspect (and clean if necessary) later.

Thanks, they are the G10 Spyderco scales so they're removable.

Re: New scale install?

I treated my Maxamet mule with Frog Lube before attaching handles to it. Granted that model is a lot less stainless than SPY27 is, but it can’t hurt to have that extra protection. Just my 2¢. Enjoy that new mule! Thanks, yeah Maxamet is a little different animal. Lucky you have that model, I love M...

New scale install?

I'm going to be installing my new G10 scales on my SPY 27 Mule this weekend and just curious if anyone puts anything on the blank prior? I saw on another forum where someone put a thin coating of frog lube on before installing his scales. I don't have any frog lube around the house but will get some...
