Man, that Wilson fixed blade is really catching my eye...but for kitchen use! Only I would want VG10 or S30v, as S90v is too $$ for my budget. But it sure looks like a Perfect kitchen knife!

I wish Spyderco would make some more kitchen knives.....

I am surprised no one has suggested the Balance. That lil' knife looks custom made for box cutting work! Small too, so NKP friendly. It is a wee bit over budget, however...still I think it bears adding to a short list.

When in doubt, watch Sal's video! And folks would probably benefit from watching it once a year just to remind themselves not to get sloppy.

I bet if you wanted to make your own micarta (I know some folks do this), you can buy Glow Inc's powder and mix it into the resin. That might work well.

Or the canvas micarta they use on the Temp. 2 would be amazing, but expensive.
Why do you think it is so costly? As I understand it, Micarta is cheaper and easier to work with than G10. No respirators required (G10 dust is hazardous). But I agree that canvas micarta would be great!

Stretch 2 with FRCP?

Hi Sal and the Spyderco gang,
Just wondering if there were any plans to issue the Stretch 2, in FRCP instead of FRN? I don't know the cost differences but the translucent colors would be attractive.

Committing heresy here too: For me I just can't quite love the Manix series. The C95 is just too large in my hands, and the regular Manix2 is just too heavy and wide, and the CBB lock is difficult to manage with arthritic thumb joints. The M2 sprints are an improvement on the weight side, but they a...

Isn't it canvas micarta on that knife? You should be able to take some med sand paper and scuff it up a bit to raise some fibers to improve your grip.

Single stack 9mm is not easy to find. Have her handle and shoot a Springfield XD or XDM in 9mm. It has one of the smallest grim circumferences there is in a double stack 9mm pistol. You can find them without the thumb safety also. Various slide lengths are available. Grip will feel a LOT like a Brow...
