Re: Bought my Para 3 from the Kittery Trading Post

Yeah, I had a chat with Spyderco on this and now feel pretty cool with my purchase. So much so that I returned to the KTP and bought a dragonfly salt!

Re: Bought my Para 3 from the Kittery Trading Post

I can take some. What do you want close-ups of?

Annoying, as I’m down here vacationing and dont want to waste my time in a return/refund line!

Bought my Para 3 from the Kittery Trading Post

Yikes. I just read an article regarding this lawsuit! I recently purchased a para 3 from here. Do I have anything to worry about??

Is the KTP a licensed dealer?

Re: Just bought a Para 3...question

They are actually easily adjusted as to allow as much free dropping as you want or don't want without introducing any play. Yeah, this one drops very freely with no blade play. Incredible little folder. Crap pocket clip for my use but whatevs. Will get an mxg clip that covers the L hole for maximum...

Re: Just bought a Para 3...question

Well there you go. I’ll stop fretting and go enjoy my knife!

I now have a lil native, spydiechef and the para 3. A collection pic will be coming!

Thanks for the input!

Just bought a Para 3...question

Evening

I just purchased a seriously sweet para 3 in g10 camo. It deploys with ease and drops freely out of the box. I love it but should it be like this without any use? Hopefully it wasnt a return.

Any input is appreciated

Cheers

Re: Greetings from a Lil native owner! Very pleased!

Welcome! Caribbean leaf PE, Baby Horn and Mantra 1 are knives you must try. There are more, but those are top contenders in my pocket. I would love a Carribbean but I think the blade is too big for my use. I really think Spyderco would be onto something if they offered the PM 2 and Para 3 in LC200N...

Re: Spydiechef CQI??

I’ve had the chef for one week and love it. Love how it sits in the pocket and what a slicer....killer knife. This must be a “cqi” version, as it has “AS” noted on the serial no code. Dig it waay more than the zt801. All of this chat regarding the wear and tear of the ti on the steel has me concerne...

You can tell by the date code on the box. Look for date code DR or newer.

Oh, ok, I see... didn't get that earlier. Thanks, Seth.
So an April one is safe to have the upgraded detent?

What about an “AS”?

Since I'm contemplating getting me one of these: is there a way to directly tell from the serial wether it's the upgraded version or not?
Good question!

Welcome, and yeah, that’s a swell little knife, though I see you got the wrong one. Should have been a back lock. ;) Just bugging you.
Lol...don’t tempt me!

Thanks for the welcomes!

The chef is in!

Hi folks,

Spydiechef is here! Just picked this beaut up. Oh my. Feels great in hand and in the pocket. Love the idea of this steel too.

I’ll report back after some weekend cut time.

Was a toss up btw this and the sage 2.

Cheers

Greetings from a Lil native owner! Very pleased!

Hello folks, Well, i’ve been bitten by the knife bug. I’ve always dug knives but it wasnt until a few months ago that i really got into high-end edc’s. Thought i’d show a snap of my two knives as of today. This is my first spyderco. Fantastic knife!! I’ve had her 2 months. Love it. Highly functional...
