Re: yet another "price increase"
Lol, someone is pretty mad. He's obviously a diehard spyderco fan, otherwise he wouldn't be making an account here simply to announce that he's dissatisfied. Boo hoo. The price increase will certainly effect my purchasing of Spyderco products, but I, as a customer, am almost worthless to Spyderco fr...

Re: Carpet vs. VG10/S110V
I learned that s110v was far from invincible a long time ago. This test reminds me of the rope on the dredge that is saturated in sand, silt, and grit (a few people here were in disbelief that s110v could be blunted in minutes). No PE knife stands a chance to a test like this. We can go on and on ab...

He has interesting opinions. He believes carbide tear out is 100% a myth.
He can also be very long winded, lol.

Re: Tormec Sharpening
I'm ignorant to the worksharp sharpening system, but I can only deduce that applying the least amount of pressure possible is paramount to not overly convexing your apex. Regardless of the belt you use, if you're serious about having a good edge, you should be applying extremely light pressure anyw...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
S110V is not one of my favorites actually prefer S90V better bite when cutting for me S110V too smooth. You can get basically any edge you want with s110v, you just have to work for it. You'd think it wouldn't be much different than s90v but it's certainly more temperamental in sharpening. I'm swit...

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips
Usually by car, 😂 Construction workers can carry knifes to and from work,, i do.. But you would have problems explaining the need for a knife if you work in an Office. If i'm on my way to or from the Woods i can carry wathever i want in my belt, machetes, axes and knives. But dressed in "norma...

Re: Extending the Para Family
Para XL! My first big desire is for a larger scale Dodo model but I'm liking this idea of a larger scale Para2 especially. I would want something with a blade at least that big. The Para 2 is another model I've wondered if a Titanium handle would be a good model to try? I really like titanium, it's...

Re: Sharpening Stone Recommendation for Beginner
Can't go wrong with the advice here, but I'll throw in mine. The smith's diamond stone will wear out quickly sharpening high alloy steel. It'll handle s30v fine for a few months and begin to slow down. Something like s90v will wear it out noticeably sooner. Of course this all depends on how often yo...

Re: Spyderco and Abel join forces
Why mention $400? $495 is $500 all day long. The biggest purpose this will serve is determining where the market exists. If there are enough wealthy collectors to make this sell out quickly, it was a good idea and it may happen again.
