I like the setup. Do you carry it loose in your pocket?

Who bids on this kind of junk from an idiot that writes in all caps? I am shocked people actually pay this much for fakes. Sometimes friends or relatives might try to buy something unique for someone they know is a collector. Imagine if you spouse or significant other didn't know anything about Spy...

Does the knife have steel liners? If so, are they partial or full liners? Any idea how much this knife weighs? I'd love something south of 3oz! For those that don't like the blue scales, I imagine that the G10 could be easily died with RIT. The knife has screw fasteners and I doubt it would be hard ...

Hi, that's a HPC Tri-Fold Wallet Pick Set. perfect for my spydercard and EDC. I've never had any desire to carry a lock-pick set, but I've been watching the Rockford Files on NetFlix and I find myself wanting to learn to use a set. Unfortunately it probably isn't legal where I live. I guess i...

The main concern with either lock is to make sure that the lock gets engaged well. In my experience, that is the only potential issue with a compression lock - it can jam with lint more easily than a liner lock.

anybody know the specs? In particular the weight and lengths (handle, blade, OAL). I hope it is lighter than 4 oz, but I'm not sure with that wide blade. ...it was supposed to be aimed merely towards young persons... Huh. It looks kind of big for a young person, unless I'm mistaken about its size. ...

I was weak and had to choose three, in order of excitement:
Ed Schempp Balance - it looks goofy and I prefer G10, but I like small, ergonomic knives
Junior - unless this knife is unduly heavy, I see this being my new "big folder"
Caly 3.5 - A new heir of the Calypso bloodline

Huh, I've been away from the forum for a bit and just realized that the Caly3 was disco'd when I read this thread. It actually makes me a little sad. I consider it to be the best general-purpose EDC knife that I have ever handled. You won't regret purchasing one! I'm with the Deacon - why did they d...

I like your UKPK jag-engr, looks like I'm not the only one inspired by the PPT's handle. Mine was done by jryan76 several years ago - it receives no inspiration from the PPT. In fact, to my knowledge, the specific grind pattern is specific to jryan76. Do the grooves make it harder to get in and out...

That's awesome! About four years ago, Arkansas lifted their 3.5" blade length restriction. Now, knives of any length are legal. However, daggers, dirks, switchblades, etc. are still illegal. Unfortunately, many LEOs still think 3.5" is the legal limit and some still think the old "wid...

Zip ties work great for a Caly3. I usually carry either a Caly3 or a UKPK. If I'm going to be doing a lot of heavy/outdoor/construction-type work, I'll put a zip tie on the Spyder hole for a quick draw.

the compression lock is a superb design. it is also sort of "self cleaning" so lint in the pockets and such are less likely to prevent the lock from locking. it is my favorite lock. I have found the compression lock may not engage well if there is lint present, but the same is true of a l...

I'm hoping to get a Swick from this go-around, but I don't have it yet. I used to have a Rekat with a stonewash finish, and I'd have to say it looked very nice. I think a good reason to stonewash the Salts would be to get a matte effect on the blade. The Salts are the logical choice for dive knives,...
