Hey Daywalker,
Mother's polish it is. The rust seems to be just on the surface right now. I picked the Native up off eBay so it's another restoration project! Thanks for the suggestion.

I just got the new Native and it's solid as a rock! Kind of strange about the other three I have.

Torx screw size for Military?

If any of the forum members know the size of the torx screws in the handle and pivot of the Military I'd appreciate the information so I can get the right size screwdriver.

I didn't know the Para-military had steel liners, now I'll definitely have to get one. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

strictlycz, Spyderco's customer service rules, I lost the clip off of my Native and they sent me a new one no charge, and no questions asked. Mike in warranty and repair is also a great guy. It seems Spyderco is one of the few companies around that actual care about their customers and stand behind ...

Daywalker, The Walkers great, thank you for the recommendation on it. I guess I won't worry about the native too much then, I thought it was maybe something that was common with the Native design. Like I said my Endura's and Delica's seem to be a lot more solid in side to side play than the Natives ...

BargainBlades,
Thanks for the info, mine are all different generations of Natives, one is even brand new. Maybe I'm just unlucky with the Natives. The Native III's I have seem to have the least amount of side to side play.

Native Question?

I've noticed with the three different Natives I have that they all have left to right blade play if you grab the tip with one hand and hold the handle with the other and move the blade from side to side. The Endura's and Delica's I have are rock solid. My question is if this is common with all the F...

VG-10 is definitely my favorite Spyderco steel, easy to sharpen and holds an excellent edge. I wouldn't mind if they used it on some of the Colorado made knifes to keep costs done.

Hi Sal,
I was lucky enough to have been at the Zandvort Grand Prix when Gilles Villeneuve drove a complete lap around the circuit with a flat tire. It was on of those classic F1 races that people still talk about to this day.

Spa, my dream track, I would love to go there, the only other race I'm dying to go to at least once in my life would be Monaco, just for the atmosphere. Then I could die happy!
