I’m daydreaming on the St. Nick’s Military that will never be made. Red scales, Maxamet and dark hardware.

I’ve always thought the natural g10 looks waaaay better in person rather than in pictures. DLT exclusive PM2 and Saint Nick’s Para 3 have priority or this would be a contender this month.

Further, it's really nice to have that extra blade length when I need it. I even enjoy it's hearty "thwack" when opening over most other knives. Until we meet again, Military. The “Thwack”...it’s just a sweet sound. It’s like the sound of starting a giant V8 engine or high performance spo...

I was really happy to get in on this after missing out on all the Cruwear sprints last year. Has anyone tried sanding the scales to a coarser, rather than smoother finish?

I’ve seen a few examples on the scales sanded down and they look great. Search for smooth cf scales and will come up.

52100 is a great simple carbon steel with which to round things out. Steelcity’s thought for a Military DLC 52100/gray G10 sounds just AWESOME !

I’m sure everyone wants more of their favorite knives released, but as a Military fan, I find it odd that the only new Military being released this year will be the Rex45? (According to the 2018 released thread). Are more and more people trending towards the little knives like the Para 3 and Native ...

I like that they limited it to 1 per household, nice move St. Nick's. They will not sell out in seconds now:) Now, lets hope they have a better internet host than that other little company that tried to do a release and bombed it. I have a feeling people who want one will be able to score this one.

Get the Sharpmaker and go to town. Great system with everything you need in one package.

Hi Sage, welcome to the forum and congrats on a great 1st of many to come Spydercos. I can't really give you any advice that has not already been given. I'm new to sharpening knives too and I got my Spyderco Sharpmaker this week. Well, I can tell you that I spent 4 hours on Tuesday sharping anything...

Ahhh man, that really sucks! National knives is a good place to check once in a while. Good people to deal with and I didn't see them post any up yet.

.... Any suggestions for a potential budding collector? Depends on WHY you collect. To maintain the Maximum "collectability" or dollar value? Leave it in the Box. If that's not your main concern, use them with care, I.E. use them to cut things, not as a scraper, screwdriver, or staple rem...
