Re: New here & just bought 3 knives

Welcome to the forum. You've got a lot of premium knives with very nice steels. I can't stress to you enough how important a good sharpening system can be. The sharpmaker is one of the best systems on the market especially for beginners. The super steels aren't difficult to sharpen. They are just go...

Re: Back after over a decade.

And the Caly 3.5 is a knife I never had but it looks like a perfect design regarding what I am looking for in a folder: Compact closed size, still a cutting edge of over 3", backlock and the "thinner" (3mm) blade stock (as opposed to the "thicker" pm2-ish 3.7mm) I always li...

Re: It's time for a new Cricket

I have 2 Crickets. One with the metal handles and an old-school FRN. I often carry my FRN Cricket more than the metal handle. The extra grip is nice, and not having to worry about scratching the metal finish is nice. I would love to see a micarta handle. Micarta is one thing I wish Spyderco would do...

Welcome back. What spydie do you have your eye on next?

Definitely a new Mule. After that I don't know. If it's still available maybe a Para 2 in S110v.

Back after over a decade.

After over 10 years of being away. I decided check out the forum again. Many things have changed. I got married, had a couple kids, multiple moves, bought a house, and changed many jobs. But one thing has remained a constant. There is always a knife in my pocket. That knife is always a Spyderco. The...

The Squeak is a great knife. It is very comfortable in my hand and cuts great. The blade is very thin, and the steel takes a very good edge. I havent used it enough to truly test the edge retention. This knife has replaced my ZDP Dragonfly. The wider handle, spine to choil, fills my hand better and ...

I have to say this new Squeak from my initial impressions is going to be a cutting demon. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j94/dm_gangl/DSC02435.jpg Looking at the blade it is actually right at if not thinner behind the edge then my Caly Jr. ZDP. The blade polished up very easily. Took about the sa...

Yeah other then the tip issue this knife is excellent. Extremely comfortable three finger grip that locks into your hand. The lock up is very tight. I have no blade play either. This is my first slip joint, and I am very pleased. This is my first chance to try out N690Co. If the steel performs well,...

Just Got my Squeak, and quick question

I got my Squeak today and am very excited to use this knife. I did find one problem, and I figured I would give Spyderco a heads up. When I pulled the knife out of the box I noticed the tip of the edge was rolled. I figured no problem fixed it and I'm enjoying the knife very much. But sitting here p...

http://www.knivesshipfree.com/images/brkcity/City_Knife_in_City_Sheath_600.jpg Im going to have to agree with Chuck on this. The City knife is a nice looking one. You can get it in 154CM or the Essential in M4. I have also considered the streetbeat in an ankle sheath. But for a suit, IDK about an a...

DMT stones lets talk

Im looking at getting some new stones to try out a new setup for reprofiling my knives. I have a couple of DMT stones in mind, but I'm not the most knowledgeable about DMT. The main question I have is which are better. The Dia-sharp continuous stones or the Diamond hones with the holes in the stone?...
