Did you try cleaning it out and fixing the pivot at all to reduce the stiffness?

Sorry to hear about the knife, but it honestly doesn't look too bad. Knives are meant to be used and worn. It still locks up solid, and the dent is pretty minor. Just needs a good sharpening. If anything, this gives you an excuse to buy a sharpmaker. :) You might also be able to find a local place t...

That's a pretty rad haircut. :D

In any case, I'm sure most of the 3.5"+ folders would do well. (Paramilitary/Military/Endura/Caly 3.5/Pacific Salt/Manix 2 or XL)

Thanks for the info on these, Sparki, Paul, and Brian. I'm not the OP, of course, but I've been sort of on the lookout for a CF Cat and have been wondering why they're so scarce. I think the only one I've seen went for something like $119 on the bay, a good bit more than I thought it was worth. Are...

They are both part of the same line. The design as far as handle/clip/screws are all the same, only difference is the size. I don't believe there are any others in the line. I do know there was a run of carbon fiber/S30V cats, I believe the chicagos were done as well, someone might have to clarify t...

^ How are you treating it, most importantly? I hope that it heals soon... Luckily, my girlfriend is a nurse, so instantly out came the gauze, rubbing alcohol and medical tape. I ended up using a couple butterfly bandages to keep it closed while it healed. That was about a week ago, and it's almost ...

I cut myself on a manix 2 the other day too. I somehow got the tip in the fleshy part of my hand and it bled for ages.

I was trying to keep my delica from getting a patina, but I ended up cutting a rare steak with it... and the rest is history! It adds so much character to the knife.
