Re: Manix 2 Dark Blue G10 S110v just dropped!!
These pics look better than what I've seen in catalogs. Must be different lighting.

Re: Spyderco's Answer To The Buck Model 110?
I've seen knives similar to the 110 with bolsters that had turned green and weren't easy to clean. Doe the 110 have the same problem if you aren't careful about keeping it dry?

Yeah, that doesn't appeal to me. I'll stick with my black G10 and my dark blue lightweight.farnorthdan wrote:pretty sure its made out of the same G10 as the PM2...soooo....that would make it Blurple :)

I'm not sure about the color. It looks almost purplish, unlike my dark blue lightweight.

Re: Spyderco's Answer To The Buck Model 110?
I had to look up the Military and figure out what "C-36" meant. I guess I've been seeing "Military" and ignoring the model numbers.

Re: Manix2 Light Weight
Oh I totally agree, just meant its not as rigid as the G10 version with liners, you have to pinch it pretty hard to get any flex thats for sure. My post wasn't directed at you. :) The G10 and LW are opposite extremes. I like both for different situations. The G10 feels so heavy duty, I can see why ...

Re: Manix2 Light Weight
I felt the handle being to light for the blade, just my opinion. Not a lot, but enough to tell a difference when using the knife and when playing with the action of the knife. So what I did is took a chicago screw, and put it together through the lanyard hole, add a light weight to the handle. It m...

Re: Manix2 Light Weight
I got mine last spring and it became my favorite lw carry by far. I still carry my Pacific Salt when fishing but pretty much every other day if I'm wearing shorts it's the M2 LW 110 that's clipped to me. And to echo what Spidergirl88 said in her post, it is an incredible value. You really do get a ...

Re: Manix2 Light Weight
There are some pictures floating around from someone who tried batoning a chunk of wood which broke the knife right at the pivot if I remember correctly, you guys remember that one, it was some time ago, cant remember the thread or forum. Anyone who does that to a folder should have their whole kni...

Re: Manix2 Light Weight
Even without liners, the lightweight handle is plenty strong. It flexes if I pinch the sides, but that's not how I hold the knife when I'm actually using it. I like my G10 version, but about the only functional advantage it has is that it's easier to clean if you get gunk inside it.

Re: Clip, tip-up vs. tip-down
I keep switching my Enduras back and forth. The knife seems to slide in and out of my pocket easier tip-down. But if I need the Fisher Bullet Pen from the bottom of the same pocket, tip-up is more comfortable as I reach in past the knife (no jimping).

Re: Endura hardware?
Yeah, they hold firm to their crap about discouraging customers for working on their own knives. My Millie has a stripped screw. They wouldn't give or sell me parts. They offered to look at it if I sent it in and waited patiently for them to fix it. I used some Loctite and put the screw back in the ...

Re: Carry 2 knives? 3 knives? More???
I usually have a knife and Leatherman. Knife size depends on where I'm going and what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing pants with sturdy belt loops, I'll carry my Rebar in its sheath. Otherwise, I'll carry my Micra.

Re: Usefulness of Sub-3 Inch Blades?
I'll take my DF2 over my Endura any day, except in a knife fight, which I've never been in and probably never will. I do see the advantages of a 3+ inch bladesign for food prep, but I'm a health inspector so the thought of a folder used to process foods sets off my spidey sense for not being "...

Blade HQ is my favorite non-ebay knife retailer. In this case, the low price on the Endura was too good to pass up.

Re: Sasy420 may have sold me fakes
I just got an Endura from them. It seems perfect to me. I did notice the lettering on the blade being different than my other Endura, but I figured it was just because this one is newer. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd31/therealwacokid/knives/5DAF5450-FF2C-48A0-B765-8EF41C39CF7A_zpsnmf2jq97.jpg

Re: Usefulness of Sub-3 Inch Blades?
Every sub-3" knife I've owned has been sold or given away. If I want to use a blade that short, I've usually got my Leatherman Rebar on my belt. I like something long enough to slice bell peppers and onions for my salad. Sure, I've got plenty of kitchen knives, but my Enduras fits my hand bette...
