Re: One Down Twelve More To Go
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are a lot more than 12 left. ;) This is a photo from the user "Reject" - He has one of the most impressive Spyderco collections I've ever seen! :spyder: From a thread called "How Many Delicas are out there?" - The photo above was take...

Re: One Down Twelve More To Go
Very nice! Now go for the HAP40! :) (Great steel and it´s orange handle will contrast the Damascus Delicas nicely... ;) ) Thanks! Yep, I do miss having an orange go to in my collection. The HAP40 very well may be the next one I run down, but the order in which I purchase these will most likely be d...

Re: To Signet Ring Or Not To Signet Ring, That Is My Question
This is exactly why I have not pulled the trigger on the Matriarch. I do like to carry an EDC daily, so to pick up a knife for the sole purpose of SD means I would have to start choosing between ED and SD carry. Now there are certainly times when choosing to carry a SD knife is an easy choice, like...

One Down Twelve More To Go
For the sake of keeping this short, you can visit my previous thread for some background...https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=85708 I decided to start collecting the various Delica 4 Sprints and Exclusives that have been released over the years. For the first, I chose the Delica 4 Da...

Re: Is DPS 15 Damascus "Real" Damascus??
I believe the Endura Damascus is made with a center core of VG10 with two layers of additional laminated Damascus on either side. This is done in a cold rolling mill process called cladding. The last process after blade grinding, is to acid etch which will emphasize the different layers of steel al...

Re: Is DPS 15 Damascus "Real" Damascus??
Answered my own question already. When he asked if it was fake, he meant a blade that was simply etched or painted with a pattern. In this case I informed him that the blade is real Damascus.
However, feel free to learn me anyway if you're feeling froggy.

Is DPS 15 Damascus "Real" Damascus??
I just received my Delica 4 Damascus KnifeJoy Exclusive. Absolutely stunning knife, but that's for another thread. I sent a pic to my buddy, as I tend to do when I receive a new knife, because he is also into knives, and the conversation went as follows; Buddy: Damascus?! Naaaaaah... Me: Ya, it's an...

Yes it is...
I'd be interested to know how this knife is performing as well, as it on my list to obtain this year.

Re: To Signet Ring Or Not To Signet Ring, That Is My Question
If you look at purpose-designed karambits, the length of the handle WITH the ring accommodates four fingers. When you add a ring to a handle that already accommodates four fingers, you move your grip away from the blade by one finger's width. If you then try to apply karambit technique, which works...

SD or not, still trying to decide if these thing offer any real benefit, thinking not so much.

Re: To Signet Ring Or Not To Signet Ring, That Is My Question
I've owned a matriarch 2 with both the emerson opener and the signet ring. My thoughts: The matriarch 2 is a little big for the signet ring's natural karambit grip. This is why I advocate for an emerson opener on some of the shorter hawkbill models.... The matriarch 2's backlock did not inspire con...

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."
I alternate between thumb flicking and spydie flicking. The action on my Para 3 LW allows each to be done with ease. I don't ever spydie drop though, for one reason or another.

To Signet Ring Or Not To Signet Ring, That Is My Question
I'm looking at picking up a Matriarch 2 w/ Emerson Wave on the used market from BF. In my research I know this is a popular knife to install a Signet Ring on, and there is one for sale on BF w/ one of these installed. I'm not really sure that I see the point, so looking to be enlightened. My first t...

Re: Delica 4 Sprints / Exclusives / Limited Editions List
Well, I found the first 1 of 13 already. I reviewed the list I put together and thought carefully of which I’d like to hunt down first. Out of all 13 knives on the list, the Damascus are the ones that stood out and called to me the most. There’s just something about the patterned blades that is spe...
