Re: Any chance of a Jess Horn throwback model?
Maybe a touch larger with the same opening notch and leave the clip. Don't care to dig in my pocket for a knife. Throw on some dark green polished G10 or linen micarta

Yeah it's also illegal to carry a Bowie knife in Texas as well.....a knife that the state is kind of known for?

Re: Schempp rock for backpacking?
I would wait for the Rocksalt sprint. I would think it would do well for chopping.....that is kind of what it was designed for if I'm not mistaken. I'm not convinced that a knife needs as much mass as some may think. I feel knife design and edge geometry is more important. A Rock salt has such a ext...

Re: Navaja Ratchet Poll
Mine gets used very little, but I do carry it from time to time. The ratchet was nice up until recently, but has gone almost silent. You can still feel the ratcheting when opening a little, but it is nearly gone.

Re: Working Class Dogs
When I used to turn wrenches for a living ,family and friends couldn't understand why I bought tools that were in their mind "expensive". It's hard for most people to understand why a department store wrench or ratchet simply will not hold up to professional use. I always try to purchase t...

I would be down for a Manix XL with H1 and yellow G10 handles. Highly unlikely it would ever happen though.

Re: Anyone else have a Tanaka?
I have one, and carry it enough that the g10 is showing wear. It's got a smooth action, locks up tight, and can be closed one handed. What more could you ask for.......well maybe a different color handle scale, and I would probably loose the painted pocket clip.

I hate them myself. I like the regular clips much better.

Glad you guys made it out ok. I wouldn't worry about wether or not the knife had a four inch blade or not. A Delica 4 is easily replaced.

Re: P'kal- Very Nice, But a small problem...
It shouldn't need total disassembly. Watch the link to the video that was posted earlier. You could watch a video for centering the blade on a Manix 2. Locks are the same on both knives, and adjustment should be similar.

Re: Chinook in the queue?
Yeah I have had all three versions. The Chinook 2 was the best out of the series. It is dang near perfect. They do something similar with a power lock and it will be awesome.

I hope they do a hollow grind like the Second version. The third version just didn't cut as well to me as the previous two versions.

Re: Info on the Caribbean?
A rescue shaped blade in plain edge would be cool.
Just because the scales appear to have texture does not necessarily mean they are FRN.
The scales could have texturing machined in them like a few of the sprint runs, and forum knives of late.

Re: Thoughts on modified Wharncliffe?
The Pingo is a great design that is a "sheepsfoot with a point". I also like the shape of the Benchmade grip/mini grip that has the thumbhole (555?550? I don't own any grips). They call it a modified sheepsfoot but their reverse tanto Contego is similar in shape. The previously mentioned ...

What kind of blade would y'all consider a Chokwe? To me it's a modified Wharnie.
