Re: Long Blade Folder Guys ... what you cutting?????

This is where the Caribbean design absolutely outclasses the Military and everything else in this edge size, it has the same cutting edge as a Military but in a significantly smaller package overall. It's really the final answer to this entire debate. The basic design could even be made more compac...

Re: Cutleryshoppe Exclusive Native Chief, DLC CTS-XHP, Orange G10

I also love the color combo but hate coated blades. Going to stand pat on my cf/s90v and rex45 chiefs for now and save up for future sprints. Well, unless I see one for a great deal on the secondary lol

Re: Lost and Found! Whew!

It is probably in the trunk of your car, either wedged between the liner and the tail lights, or under the spare tire. I went back and gave that area a triple-quadruple check on your good suggestion, but no luck. However, when I was going to bed last night, what did I find but my beloved native lay...

I dearly hope this is the case for my beloved and mia native 5 smooth cruwear. It was literally clipped in my pocket as I was packing up the car for a weekend camp...

Re: Lil' Kapara!

I'm so excited for this guy - loved everything about the Kapara but its size. This will be in my goldilocks if it's a 3"-er. I'm ambivalent on lock type, but I'd love an upgrade from S30V - maybe 20CV if it's in Taichung?

Aftermarket Bearings for Mantra 2?

Hey y'all, I recently came across this awesome maker who is doing caged ceramic bearings as aftermarket products for bearing knives: https://www.skiffmadeblades.com/collections/bearings I've got some in a non-spyder that I was able to get confirmation on sizing from a buddy, but I am wondering if an...

Re: Oh to be in love again...

Custom scales are everywhere at this point, I’ve got some natural g-10 on mine. Would you mind sharing where you sourced your natural G10 scales? I have seen the gorgeous wood scales out there, but I'd prefer a G10 substitute for the texture and durability. Also considering sanding down the stock s...

Love the lines, the blade profile and the liner lock. Maybe it will get the S35VN upgrade like the Tenacious at some point.
Sal said if the s35vn Tenacious does well then they'd consider giving the Astute the same upgrade. Fingers crossed!

I've got my toes crossed too :D :D

Re: Who Wants a High Carbon Native?

I have no interest in Low-Alloy steels. I think they are far inferior to high alloy non-stainless in all respects except for forging. To be honest, I'd much rather Spyderco do something in AEB-L or Nitro-V if you want something that will take a fine edge with good toughness. This mirrors my thought...

Re: Astute. The little big knife.

I’m a broken record. If we are talking upgrading little big knives to S35VN why aren’t we talking about the Dragonfly? Just a guess, buy there have been a number of super steel sprints of the Dfly. I also think VG-10 as a base steel is already a fair upgrade over 8cr13mov. Sign me up for an upgrade...

Re: Who Wants a High Carbon Native?

I'm honestly not a big fan of DLC in general, but I can see where DLC 52100 would be very practical. The KW grey variant is quite stunning - has a subtle dressy look to it but would fit in anywhere. And I bet it would be a strong seller as a Native. Let's make it happen
