Re: MT35P - CPM MagnaCut Mule Team - Release Date
Just received mine. Well half of it at least. Ordered/paid for 2 Mules with 2 sets of scales. Only 1 of each was in the box! :( I’m excited to finally have some Magnacut in hand, but this was a bit of a curve ball. Had the second one promised to a buddy. Anyone else had that happen? How did this tu...

Re: MT35P - CPM MagnaCut Mule Team - Release Date
Hey @TazKristi,
I didn’t receive my full order. I already replied to my order email. Not sure if there’s a better email address to use in this case(?). Please let me know.
Thanks!

Re: Will there be a MagnaCut backlash?
Shoulda made it a poll! I think Larrin said somewhere he was aiming for something similar to the M4 user experience minus the corrosion? I'm excited. Sounds like he achieved even better, comparing wear resistance similar to 4V. And… “ This led to a combination of properties which is better than pre...

Re: 2022 Spyderco Product Guide - Now Live!
Did you photoshop that? It’s the image on the front cover of the pricing guide, kind of odd. Ah, you’re right! I find that really odd too. I really wonder why they would do that? :thinking Must be a new Manix automatic…AutoManix! ;) I kept flipping through the catalog looking for new models. Light ...

Re: Carothers
Love the blade on the Province, but never could get my head around the square handle. First time I picked one up it was a definite no.

Re: Canis Rattle Problem ?
Yeah, it’s been discussed on another thread where I asked the same question. The floating stop pin needs a drop of oil or dab of grease and it goes away.

Re: dog tag folder
Speaking of…Just got my first Dog Tag today (CF). Cool little blade. Would make a nice watch pocket carry when I don’t have a traditional in that pocket.

Re: Moran in action (butchering content warning)
Deer tend to be more active when it gets cold.
The rut also coincides with falling temperatures in most areas (November). The rut is when the wary, nocturnal bucks let their guard down and come out in daylight chasing the girls.

Ok now I’m hungry! Hope everyone has a great season. A little slow here right now, but temps are about to drop again.

Re: Moran in action (butchering content warning)
The fees are up there now. I used to have to process all my deer myself because there was no choice about it. It is nice to have the option if needed.

Re: Moran in action (butchering content warning)
My local processor asks that you bring them in ungutted if you want them to skin/clean. They strip the hide with a winch I believe, and said it works better with the body more rigid.

Re: Moran in action (butchering content warning)
Good video. Game processing is such a regional thing. We do it a little different here. It’s very cold here so we don’t do the gutless method. We try to hang them for a week first. Usually it is cold enough outside to do that. I think many do the gutless method in the south because it is warm and t...

Moran in action (butchering content warning)
Ran across this last night. Nice to see a Moran in action, and used well! Some very good tips in this video. Everyone has their own approach to game processing.
Obviously, you should not click this if game processing bothers you.

Re: Siren - strange lock movement
In your experience and with your knowledge, is this some thing can be fixed or improved on by a skilled end-user, or is it more likely going to require an all new lock bar and/or blade to solve? I'n not trying to put you on the spot here, so it's OK to side-step the question. One would have to buil...
Re: Carothers
It’s funny. Spyderco and CPK are connected for me. When I first sought after a “super steel” fixed blade I bought a Southfork. My performance wish was to be able to split a whole chicken, cut through the breast and rib bones and all, and still be able to shave hair after. The Southfork did well but ...

Re: I think I want a ronin 2
I tried a Ronin 2 but let it go. The handle is very thin, and it has the similar feel with the narrow butt taper that the Yo2 has (which I also passed along). If you’ve ever handled a Bradley Junction, it’s that same ultra-thin handle that trades hand filling grip for very slim carry. Great blade gr...
Re: Carothers
Beautiful LC @murphjd25! Just a heads up because I thought the same thing when these were first offered…the hard thin FK2 is actually the same stock thickness. It’s just thinner behind the edge. It’s 1 point harder than the standard. They’re both good cutters! You can see it in the narrower edge bev...
