Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

After borrowing a friends Tenacious for a week, pondering the Dragonfly, and then having a hands-on with the Cat and Chicago, I ended up with an Ambitious. VERY pleased. ImageFullSizeRender by Six Pound Cat, on Flickr

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

After this thread I feel it is my civic duty to at least get my hands on a Dragonfly and try it out for myself. Thanks to everyone. This forum is awesome.....even if you are all a bunch of dirty enablers.

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

Wise words. Thanks for the responses everyone! Ask yourself what you would use a DF2 for. Do you carry the manbug when you otherwise can't carry the delica? For example I field dressed a deer with a G10 DF2. Could I have done it with a manbug? sure, albeit not as easily as the DF2. But if I would've...

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

Ok let's try a different angle. How if at all, is the dragonfly more capable than a Manbug? Aside from the larger grip is the Manbug equally as capable a knife as the dragonfly?

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

Trust me, I've always loved the look and been intrigued. I was hoping someone may have a comment that smacks me in the head and CONVINCES me that I don't want or need one of these knives. Doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

Darn it people. This isn't going the way I had planned....... How about the fact that the FRN versions doesn't have any liners? Does that bother anyone? Does the Manbug feel more solid with less flex since the handles are so short??

Re: Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

HOLLAND! You're supposed to be talking me OUT of getting one sir!! Thanks for the input Spydergirl. The dragonfly is a top 2 favourite for me. The ability to get 4 fingers on the grip seperases the DFLY from the manbug for me. I recommend grabbing one. If you grab a hap40 DFLY and end up not liking ...

Please talk me OUT of getting a Dragonfly

Let me explain. I currently have a Hap40 Manbug (flipping love it way more than I thought I would) and just got a Delica 4 that I did a blade mod too and now REALLY like it too. (Also carry a Mini Tuff Lite on occasion) So, while I've always liked the dragonfly look I have a feeling it might not add...

Re: My new Mantra-Should I return it?

Appears that someone is just trying to cover their own behind. Whoever "inspected" that blade obviously didn't do their job and is now placing the blame on you to save their own a$$. This would piss me off in a major way. Even if you're ok with getting a blemished product, what they're try...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

HAHA!! I was waiting for someone to mention that. Actually reading your Delica 4 Super Blue Review is what finally convinced me to order a Delica. I was on the fence and was reading up on them, read that post, immediately ordered on Amazon. :) Just walked in from the garage where I was stripping the...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Just got this gray Delica 4 today and immediately took the dremel to it. I knew I didn't love the blade shape to begin with but it is such a popular knife I figured I'd give it a go. I kinda like the Kahr arms blade shape and I'm a fan of shorter blades so I went that direction. Still needs some cle...

This is probably the best thread I have ever read on ANY forum. I will definitely be purchasing one of these when they're released.

Re: A question for Mr Glesser and Spyderco (Clipped Manbug)

Thanks for the response Sal. I am just blown away that there is a company where product suggestions are actually considered by the owner! Amazing! Read through the whole thread where Jazz suggested a wharncliffe delica and is now holding that vision in his hand and using it at work. Completely incre...

Re: A question for Mr Glesser and Spyderco (Clipped Manbug)

Cool idea! And keeping is Japanese built with the Pilot pen clip! Just to keep ideas alive, here is my crude but effective waved, clipped Ladybug. The clip was made by soldering a clip from a pen onto the head of a screw run through the lanyard hole and secured with a nut on the other side. http://i...

Thanx for the thread revival. I'll add it to the R&D meeting. It's an important addition that we've been too busy to follow up.

Re: A question for Mr Glesser and Spyderco (Clipped Manbug)

Thread revival! I'd really like to see a wire clipped Manbug. Any updates on this? Is there is any sort of chance of this happening? There were a few posts a while back that gave a glimmer of hope.
