The bummer is when a new model comes out with a steel that's not on your favorites list.
Never really warmed up to S30V or D2. Just me I guess.

I phased it out years ago. But it will probably stick around due to price and popularity with the masses.
For some reason I never really cared for it.

Michael mentioned to me about the time the Blueridge CF S90v came out that he would rather it had been blacked out with the production blade steel. Makes sense in this type of knife. But I do like the CF model quite a bit. :D

Added standard Yo2 / all black. That's what I would do too.

Its a symptom of production knives. Am sure most are close to perfect. Sounds like yours isnt.
Its not like you cant send it back to KW or Spyderco. Most would just take care of it that way. Rather than scaring everyone
or condemning an entire run.

My 2 are pretty much perfect. But didn't spend too much time looking at every possible detail. Happens every time. Newbies order a production knife that happens to be an exclusive, open the box expecting a custom. Put it under a microscope and a small % are not 100% perfect. Just like any other prod...

Pretty much depends where you are at in the hobby. For some its a non issue. For others it means the world.

790 (just asked) I was curious how it would sell. This knife was requested in 2013, 2014 & got the green light at SHOT 2015.
Hard to predict with so many other knives being released between then and now..... Glad it finally got built.

How big is the run? If its 1200, 2 days is a bit optimistic IMO. Unless there is no limit and flippers rule the day.
