They are both great knives Ken. I would say that it depends on what you entend to use your knife for. Speaking for myself, I would go with the Junior Lt.

Sorry Mundele, according to Sal, there is nothing to do The deformation depends on the difficulty in heat treating the very tough VG-10 steel. We´ll just have to live with it and either actually use the knife (instead of keeping it in a cupboard, a...

I´ve owned my Calypso Jr lt for about a month now and I like it very much. But there is a thing you should know about it. The first batch showed a slightly warped curve of the blade. I´ve spoken to Sal about this and he sad that rather than trash all the blades, the company lowed the price and attac...

Sal, I believe that only time can tell if the quality is there or not. The time tells you if people actually buy the product and if it´s durable enough to withstand the aging process. If it does, you have achieved the quality that you desire. So a touch of catch22. And getting this experience will h...

Hi Matt. Recently, there was the same discussion on the Benchmade forum. I would say tha maybe 70% of the crew preferred the plain edge. And that goes for me too. Now, although the serrated edge sometimes has it´s preferences, the most of the time I only need a clean cut and nothing more. The combo ...

I agree with Brian. I have owned a Calypso Jr Lightweight for some months now and I am very pleased by it. The super VG-10 steel holds the edge of the flatgrounded blade and is easy to sharpen (razorsharp !!)The scales made out of Zytel are lightweight yet tough and the clip is removable and interch...

Ok Sal. Thanks for your mess. Now I understand why I couldn´t find a single blade without that warp. And I have to tell you that I really tried!

Something wrong with my Calypso?

When folded the blade of my Calypso is not in the extreme central position. It leans leftward. Is this wrong?. When unfolded, there is no play.
