It looks like that aus-8a version was made after 1999. Check out spydiewiki for almost everything you could want to know!

I generally agree but perhaps calling the sheath a fail was a bit strong. Or at least by my definition of fail which usually means totally worthless. I'd give the sheath a "C".

I keep my boxes b/c most of the time I decide to sell them and I think the buyers prefer them to have a box.

That hole pattern isn't the same as on the E4/D4, etc. They would have to redesign the clips. But I'm with you, I generally prefer the wire clip and if it was simple to change a spoon to wire clip I would be for it.

The D-fly is a great knife and I think fulfills what most non-knife aficionado urban users need wonderfully. Though I like the G10 model and have had one in the past, I don't feel that it adds enough functionality for the ~90% price increase.

The Endura/Delica couple are classics. I have both but prefer other models. The Endura is simply too big for anything that I need to cut. The Delica is the perfect size, but the handle is too skinny. Oh well. Maybe the FRCP Native will get here someday.

You can try loosening/tightening one pivot screw or the other until you get it like you want. Send it in if you're not happy. I had to send mine in as it was either impossible to open with my thumb, or the worst vertical play I've had in a lockback. I will happily accept some play as I have with eve...

I'm more inclined to think that a street price of a Delica in G10 and/or micarta would be less then $95.00, if that. The last G10 Delica had a street price of ~$110, if I remember correctly? The G10 Dragonfly is around $85 right now. I'd consider buying one if it was ~$100 but it probably couldn't ...

To add to the above post, get a sharpie marker and mark the edge. Then as you sharpen you can see if you are hitting the edge properly. If you have poor close-in eyesight, use a magnifying glass. If you have the Smith's pocket pal, you can use that rod to sharpen the inside of the serrations.

My last FRN Dragonfly was fine as well as the larger Seki knives I've bought recently. But not quite perfect centering is OK to me at this price point. Damaged edges, scratches, etc sound like it didn't come out of the factory that way and was done by someone else along the way. Regarding the other ...

Has anyone tried that epoxy resin made for dunking your tool handles into? http://www.plastidip.com/ I tried plasti-dip on my Sage 2 clip but it wasn't particularly durable. The friction between pocket and clip was enough to wear through after a short while but that could be due to the round wire s...

2. Back Lock. I have never had a problem as it were, but can feel movement in mine, particularly over time. Is the one on the Native5 stronger? Better? Question about Native 5 pivot

Hi Folks, I know with the PM2 you can tighten the pivot screws all the way and not affect the action. Is it the same with the new bushing pivot on the Native 5? I've just got one with up and down play and a loose pivot. When I tighten the pivot all the way, the knife won't open at all. thanks, Adam
