It usually is not if you are aware it's a possibility and consider how you are carrying your knife. Lets say you aren't aware and you go for a jog with your brandie-new PM2 tip up in the right front pocket of your sweats or inside the waistband. The loose sweats material provides no support against ...

They were both introduced in 1990 but I think the Endura was the parent and Delica the child design.

Bert is my Stretch and Ernie was my Manbug. But I replaced my Manbug/LM Squirt PS4 combo with a Juice S2. So now I guess Ernie is the blade on the Juice.

I guess that dealer primarily caters to those who are new to knives and aren't savvy or don't care about best pricing. The dealers at my local shows in VA are usually within $5-$10 of online pricing so with shipping and your ability to inspect before buying it's pretty close to a wash. Bob and Jeff ...

For what you specifically said he'd be doing then Stretch is a great choice and also excels as a general use knife. The FRN handles will make the knife easier to clean b/c they are chemical resistant and can take really hot water something that you might not want to put wood handles through.

Manbug for me as it's easier to open and use. I do wish it came in other colors, but usability is more important to me.

Around the house, just my main folder currently a Stretch. When out of the house I add a Manbug/Maratac light combo and there is a leatherman squirt on my keychain. But I don't really count the leatherman as a knife since I don't use the blade so my answer is 2.

That's a good point. I figured after seeing the preorder price of the new Worker that if they released a new G10 delica it would be similarly priced. So I sucked it up and got one from national in November. Been carrying it since and wish I had bought one when they were first released.

I generally agree. Even cuts that would benefit from a longer blade like in the kitchen, the delica will usually work just have to make more than one cut and sometimes it can get messy... but still works. Have/had tons of spydies and others and fall back to the Delica. I have a few of the D4 FRN mod...

Can't tell from the pics. Sometimes if you sharpen a knife too aggressively at the tip it can be exposed outside of the handle slabs. Or if there is so much junk inside the handle the blade won't close all the way.

I don't know how big her hands are but I remember thinking a 3.5" SAK was large at that age. I'd go with the dragonfly rather than the delica.
