Odd man out?

I kind of like the dent. I don't see it as a big necessity - I've never had my locks disengage during typical use (which, I admit, is pretty light-duty). But I don't see them as destroying the aesthetics of the knife either - even on a Kopa. ;)

what about the H1 chokwe folder under development? [...] 1. developed in part on the forum 2. nothing else like it out there 3. it's for a good cause [...] I think that would be great, assuming that the project comes to fruition this year. In fact, I had been thinking I should have added a caveat t...

Agreed. I would also prefer something affordable
by as many of the forum members as possible.
My vote would be for a Cricket, possibly one of
the upcoming etched ones if they can be
engraved OK.

from a formerly-silent observer...

wonder what some of the other, more silent forumites think of the design/project? I think this is great, for several reasons. Having an ethnic-inspired design and contributing to the region sounds great. I can't guarantee I'll buy one now, but I will sure look into it if/when it becomes a reality. ...

According to other posts in the forum, it will be laminated.

Thanks

Thanks eveyone for the kind words and thoughts. KSDbass: The engraving was done by Fred Carter in Texas. Jurphaas: Thanks for all the info - originally as well as the latest update. Glad to hear Fred seemed pleased. Deacon: Yes, I'm anticipating this being something with a lot of sentimental value o...

20'th Anniversary Kopa

Hi all, Thought some of you might like to see a very nice application of VG-10 that my wife is giving me for our 20'th anniversary (which is still a few months away). This was inspired by Jurphaas' engraved Kopa and Crickets. She's getting something shiny too, although not very sharp. :) (Now here's...

Is there also going to be a Caly 3 in ZDP-189 with Carbon Fiber scales? That's one I'm quite interested in.

Sharpmaker wishlist

Hi all, my first post here. I've just ordered the diamond hones to go with my Sharpmaker (and let me tell you, it was hard to find anyplace that still had some in stock!). I'm thinking about making some kind of companion storage unit for the Sharpmaker that would let me store the diamond hones with ...
