I just picked up the re-released Viele yesterday. The plain-edged VG 10 is just awesome. To Spyderco: Please make more knives with VG 10. I cannot believe the fit and finish on this production knife as well as how the knife melds into the palm of my hand. Although they add a little more weight to th...

How "R" you using the "R"?

I have a serrated edge "R" which I consider to be a collector piece. However, I often wonder how others view and/or use this knife. I recently saw it "hiding" in its factory box and am considering taking the "R" out of reserve status and putting it into active duty. Would appreciate any advice on us...

After reading rave reviews about the Delica, I decided to buy one for daily use. However, once at the dealer a G-10 Standard also caught my fancy and I was unable to decide between the two. So I bought both. A customer standing next to me gave assurance that "I couldn't go wrong with a Spyderco--the...

My suggestion for a millennium knife would be to decide on one design (Spyderco "signature" design or most popular to date or newly created) and let customers have it their way. I'm suggesting something similar to how you can "custom" order a Buck Hunter from their website. Buyers would have options...

The dealer that I usually purchase my knives from uses the bicycle (thicker) formula for his display knives. I purchased the "modified" folding tools version (thinner)expecting the same performance but was disappointed with the results. The ratio of solvent-to-wax favored the former too much and lef...

Thanks Sal, I'm looking forward to seeing that video in both regular speed and slow motion whenever you find the time to do it. I think there are others out there that are just as interested as I am. However, a greater priority is for you to continue designing and making great knives for us all.

Sal, your skill at the quick draw is becoming legendary on the forums. I heard that you use a Military in the front right pocket for this feat but I have not yet heard of the technique that you use.

How about giving us your drawing secrets from A - Z so we can practice the correct way? Thanks

My favorite blade shape is the Shabaria (recurve) although I don't carry it daily. I also like the design of the JD Smith (Persian?)which is my daily carry.

Mundele, good question. I'm interested in your topic because I have a Busse Basic #5 and wondered about how I would sharpen it with the Sharpmaker.

Son Tao, what happened to the knife? If it was returned to you, how would you or did you clean it? What action did the police take against you? Is it possible that the BG could sue you? Just wondering.

I have an ATS 34 plain edge Military and a 440V plain edge Native. Now, I don't profess to be an expert in metallurgy or knives but my comments are based solely on my gut feel (also known as "SWAG"--Simple Wild*****Guess). Also, be aware that the two knives I used for comparison are different in des...

treb, I agree with you. At another forum I posted that it will be unfortunate that there will be a number of Spyderco fans both longtime and new who will not have the experience of handling the "original" Peter Herbst. Both you and I know how smooth that knife cycles--I guess we're among the lucky f...
