Re: Why no Manix 2 in 204P?

Yes, I did. Years ago. And I trust to Jim.
I am aware that 204P is among top stainless steels for abrasive resistance. But the best steel looks like a stretch. Anyway everybody is entitled to have an opinion.

Re: Why no Manix 2 in 204P?

I am not certain, as he does not say. However, he is pretty knowledgeable...more so than I am. I am sure that he is more knowledgeable in steels that I as well, still doesn't make this blog owner an expert. The reason why I am a little spectical about 204P being "the best steel" is that I never hea...

Re: Why no Manix 2 in 204P?

Why has there not been a Manix 2 in 204P (or M390)? "What 204P/M390 can deliver me that S110V can not?" I used to have ZT in this steel and didn't find it better than S90V or S110V in any area. What are your thoughts? I have found 204P easier to sharpen than S110V. This is using my 302 Benchstones ...

Re: Why no Manix 2 in 204P?

Why has there not been a Manix 2 in 204P (or M390)? My first reaction was that I have the same question about Native, than I asked myself a question:"What 204P/M390 can deliver me that S110V can not?" I used to have ZT in this steel and didn't find it better than S90V or S110V in any area. What are...

I was always a fan of the axis lock before I discovered Spyderco. Since then I have tried many many different Spydies in a variety of lock designs. Ironically I don't buy a knife because of a locking mechanism anymore. I buy what feels good in hand and what cuts.
Well said Landon.

Re: Back locks rule

My favorite lock as well. I am right handed, still it is easiest to operate lock for me. I can only wish that Shaman had it.
I also do not care about flicking.

well, I remember a member whose knife was eaten by a goat
I never asked if the goat survived though :D
Nickle is not dangerous for goats.
Just wondering, if this member requested from Spyderco free replacement. This must be covered by Spyderco warrantee. :D

Re: Persian Sprint Run

Original C83 Persian in my honest opinion is one of the most beautiful production knives I ever saw. Thanks to Ed the knife has great ergos as well. I was enjoying its use for more than ten years. White scales probably will not be practical, but certainly will look great and make the knife great sho...

It's very dangerous out here, and we have to be protected from all of that danger. I don't know how we survive either.
There is nothing more dangerous in CA than California's government. CT is about the same.

Private seller, but was said to be NIB (photos seemed to confirm). Wish I could have gotten a response on my offer to Aramis before the coupon expired.
What is private seller?

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

Not crazy, maybe just a little neurotic: forest green linerless G10 S90V KC exclusive Native 5 for $10 off = $139.95. My problem is that I've had one of their $50 rewards cards burning a hole in my pocket for 6 months, waiting for some really, really special exclusive. And I really like this innova...

Yes. And some custom scales to dress it up when it arrives.
I didn't see it. I am officially jealous.
Congrats. Enjoy.
