Re: Gift for a friend
Another vote for the Resilience. It’s a big knife and it’s going to be able to take a beating from a non knife guy. Serrated blades get all buggered up fast when abused, plain edge can take it better. You know he’s probably never going to sharpen it

Re: Spyderco Sprints: Are they a valuable investment or not ?
I bet the Blade HQ PM2 exclusive will sell for $300+ in the next 5-10 years if kept in mint condition. Rex45 PM2 Para 3...same. if not, my kids will have some sweet knives to cut tape with when I’m gone:)

Re: KnifeCenter Para 3 Cruwear
I told myself that the smooth scales are “going to be fine” when I got the PM2 with them on. I never carry that PM2. It’s going to be interesting to see what you guys think 3 months from now...maybe on the Para 3 it will be different.

Re: KnifeCenter Para 3 Cruwear
I have to pass on this one as I have my eye on the Rex45 and BHQ mili. Also, the smooth scales are not my thing. They are not Shaman smooth, but a weird slick smooth.

Re: Thanks Bandwagon
Welcome. I can’t wait to see your collection 12 months from now...these knives are very addictive! The PM2 is just such a great knife to begin your journey with. Truth is, you will eventually end up owning a PM2 at some point...just get it out of the way now:) I own more PM2 than any other knife, bu...

Re: What's your favorite big-big Spyderco?
I have not had a chance to try out all the big Spydercos, but my favorites so far: 1: Military- I’ve tried to replace it with other knives but I can’t...it’s just perfect for me specifically. The blade shape and size appeal to me, the handle feels like it was custom made for me, and the little room ...

Re: What's your favorite little-big Spyderco?
I have a Manbug on my keychain, but it’s really a novelty item more than anything else. I’ve used it a few times to cut very light duty things like string or tape.honestly, I would rather carry the Manbug over a Delica or para...if I need a bigger/ heavy duty knife, I would just reach for my main ed...

We are soo spoiled with great releases this year! I missed the satin/jade combo on the Military, so this is such a great drop.

Re: Any Spyderco Military sprint runs or exclusives coming out besides REX45?
None that I have seen announced, which is quite a disappointment. I am definitely getting the Rex45. My hope is to see these in 2019...though none have been confirmed or discussed in much depth 1. a new Cruwear Military with the CQI enhancement...same grey G10 with DLC would be perfect 2. a St Nick...

Re: 2019 Spyderco Catalog Predictions
I would like a Shaman in fancy pants steel(M390)...and maybe a few new Milis? Honestly, 2018 was such an great year full of fun releases that I'm just excited to see what they come up with.

Re: Have you gotten your dream blade of 2018?
I didn't realize it at the time, but the Mili CTS204p is my dream blade of 2018. I picked it up because the Mili is favorite Spyderco design, and I thought it would be fun to have it in with green scales. The steel and overall build of the 204p is just lights out. I went back to get a 2nd that I wou...

Sal,
I hope you live to be 100 years old buddy! I'm sure your kid is a great guy and will do amazing things with the company...but truth be told, all of my favorite knives are your designs. Military, Shaman, Manbug. Classic designs that will be around for decades to come.

Re: What was your first Spyderco?
DLC Tenacious, it's our most used knife at home because it's in the kitchen "stuff" drawer. We use it a few times a day to cut all sorts of things, open packages, cut up boxes for recycling. Honestly, it's all the knife I would every really need...but what's the fun of that! Most days I ca...

Re: I need help/advice Sharpening M390
What they all said! M390 isn't a difficult steel to sharpen, but reprofiling on the Sharpmaker with just the brown rods can be a long tedious task :( You really ought to get a coarse bench stone or at least the Diamond or CBN rods for the Sharpmaker, it might take literally hundreds of passes to re...
