Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

https://i.postimg.cc/jdJgSVC9/20200828-231628.jpg Amazing shot, Wartstein! No kidding! Nothing like the Alps! I'm no editing guru but there's a lot of light coming into that pic. I was curious to see if I could enhance it a little. Hope you don't mind Wartstein. Not sure I actually improved anythin...

that time when you just got a ladybug salt se hawkbill in the mail and it slips and snaps shut on you because you're playing around... https://i.postimg.cc/k50P7cNT/A563-FBBD-9-E86-4647-8856-6-CFF98-C4-A891.jpg that tip is no joke. Looks like the deer dripped on you, as I scroll down on my phone :D

Re: Idea for a complement to the sharpmaker

This is my rudimentary "3d-printed" prototype. I like it because it's simple. It is really slim and fits with the Sharpmaker. https://i.imgur.com/BM5B36A.jpg It easily fits four additional rods. I didn't have the patience to make triangular slots for them, but they should have that. https://i.imgur...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Movie night :) First time watching GoldenEye, though I used to play it on N64 as a kid. Goldeneye came out in 1995... define kid? Making me feel old  Lol I'll be thirty next year. Ah... the game came out in 97... even worse :D I was into my second or third junior year of college by then...

Re: Idea for a complement to the sharpmaker

Oh a 3D printer would be cool to play with; I’d have no idea how to begin designing an object from the coding standpoint though. I've been trying to figure out what bar keepers friend would be called in Sweden. The working ingredient of Bar Keepers Friend is Oxalic acid. Any powdered cleaner availab...

Re: Urban Chief

While an Urban Chief is fun to imagine, we shouldn’t lose sight of the original Urban’s intent, which was to stay within the restricted lengths and lockups common to city life. Would I be interested in a slipjoint the size of a Native Chief. Sure. But let’s call it the Rural. :p But a Canadian PK c...

Re: Idea for a complement to the sharpmaker

With judicious use of a table saw and some scrap you could make 8 45* angled cuts to create 4 triangular grooves of the appropriate depth, then screw/glue a piece of 1/8” Masonite, plywood, or other thin wood stock over the grooves. Screw/glue the same over one end as a permanent cap; cut a piece to...

I love Keens but I tear up those soles quick. Other tread patterns last a lot longer; I just walk through them 😁

Re: Any Spyderco Military sprint runs or exclusives coming out besides REX45?

A cru-ple would be too close to my gray-dyed-wine cruwear millie! But forest green and satin cruwear and you’d have me at attention! I could be happy with the cruple I guess. I like the idea of 4V, but don’t want red scales or dlc blade.

K390 Urban is a great travel knife. I lost my first one to security guard, and ordered two more to replace it.

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?

I’ve been pleased as pie with my CRUWEAR Military. I love the knife; such a versatile handle. You can choke up, or hold further back. I often hold forward and pinch the blade and the handle doesn’t get in the way at all. I love the steel. It really seems like an excellent balance/compromise. I have ...

Re: River's Edge PM2

I’m happy to see reruns too. There’s obviously demand, and I really don’t care about the flipper profiteers. People have forgotten what made things collectible in the first place; the key component is TIME. Time for many of the items to be used, lost, broken, used up, etc. such that the items which ...

Holy ! A BEER VENDING MACHINE?!? Maybe that´s not the correct term in English?! I mean an automat where you put in some coins and get a bottle of beer in return (or some other beverage) Or are you puzzled cause you would not expect such a thing in a boulder gym / sport facility? Or maybe cause in t...
